Coming again from the bottom of my drafts, here is another exciting run through my own battles. This was brawl number 50 from November 26 to December 1.

I'm going to have to give some serious thought to whether and how I'm only going to participate in every other brawl in order to blog less. 😂 It's just too much fun, not only thanks to the Social Media Challenge (#posh), to not only play this game, but to report on it. And even more so, I'd love to find your reports here as well, sharing your posts in chat and us pointing to each other in comments. The opportunities right now are tremendous to use social media in a whole new way.

Sure, when I look at the amount of work I put into it, it still doesn't come up much despite the Challenge. But things are moving, and that's what I like! Elsewhere I burned my time for many years and argued with trolls. Today trolls don't interest me anymore. A big win! 🤣

And now I don't want to waste any more useless words. No new Gladius Case again this time, so straight into the fun:

I had a good 18 minutes left to send my battles. So I didn't get to see the results right away. But another reason to blog about it: I get to see what I've been up to.

Battle 1

My first opponent is @lestlee. With "poison" and only monsters with even mana value, I choose Earth with Llama and Quora Towershead.

I can fit one Flesh Golem in the first row. And I save a Chicken so that my opponent doesn't get an extra health when using a card with "Skavanger". Because every heart can make the difference between victory and defeat with "Poison".

However, my opponent is not experienced in dealing with "Poison" or has no suitable cards in his deck.

Battle 2

My next opponent is @micore. With "Earthquake" and no healing with only 13 mana, I decide to go with Life and Gladiator Captain Katie.

The opponent is a Gladiator Whistling Damon. Finally a gladiator at the opponent too! But my sniper is stronger. I made that possible with small cards in the first rows. The opponent's Haunted Spirit with self-heal in the current ruleset again points to an inexperienced player. Level 1 cards in silver are another clue.

Battle 3

My third opponent is @jbtc19warrior. Their guild will be two places ahead of us at the end. Of course, I don't know that yet at the time of team selection.

With Equilizer at 36 mana, I choose Life with Gladiator Katrelba Gobson.

With the opponent, however, I encounter a Kron the Undying and epic gold foil Magic of the Forest in level 3!!! That means the opponent's Llama is in level 2, and the outcome is predictable.

At least watchable: my team cracks Kron in the last row. But it is not enough for Wood Nymph. And so the double healing of the tank remains intact.

Battle 4

My fourth opponent is @nnppnpp. Again "Poison" and this time with plenty of mana, I opt for Fire with Gladiator Chimney Wallstop.

"Melee Mayham" is a feast every time! My opponent obviously knows that too. My Living Lava with Shield in the last row proves to be extremely useful. I placed Chimney in the third row so that it could build up for a nice long time before moving to the front, as expected.

Battle 5

My fifth opponent is @agewriter. With 36 mana, only Fire and Death are possible. I again choose Fire with Gladiator Chimney Wallstop.

My opponent plays a Summoner Owster Rotwell with Magic Reflect and a Gladiator Witch of Warwick. As much as I am happy about this equal opponent, in the end I clearly lose.

Battle 6

My sixth opponent is @truls. With only 15 mana, there are again only two splinters possible: Fire or Life. I choose Life and Gladiator Captain Katie.

At the opponent also a gladiator Captain Katie. This one attacks faster three times. That looks unfair!! If I had only been faster once on my turn, my Katie would not have drawn the short straw and the matter would have ended differently.

As a sneak preview of my 50th Brawl report: @truls' ultimately first-placed guild IMMORTAL GODS 6 would then have been tied on points with the second-placed guild Crazy Chain, so that up to here only the league rank would still have meant first place.

Battle 7

My seventh and last opponent in this round is @staydownoutlaw. With again only 15 mana this time water, life and dragons are possible. I decide to go with Water and Gladiator Isgald Vorst. Playing water without magic proves to be advantageous.

At the opponent a level 2 Djinn Dshannus with Void and Phase against magic attacks. Although it looks good at the beginning, I unfortunately don't manage to crack it.

My hopes in the chat had not been fulfilled. However, I had also miscalculated strongly, because I had made the spontaneous calculation without the many battles that do not take place, which all too often strongly change the outcome of a brawl. However, I was under a lot of pressure in terms of time. And so in the end, without having been able to watch a single one of my battles directly, there was only about one minute left of the battle phase.

DEUTSCH

Wieder aus den Tiefen meiner Entwürfe folgt hier ein weiterer spannender Durchgang durch meine eigenen Kämpfe. Das war Rauferei Nummer 50 vom 26. November bis 1. Dezember.

Ich muss mir mal ernsthaft überlegen, ob und wie ich nur jede zweite Rauferei mitmache, um weniger zu bloggen. 😂 Es macht einfach zu viel Spaß, nicht nur dank Social Media Challenge (#posh), dieses Spiel nicht nur zu spielen, sondern auch noch davon zu berichten. Und noch viel lieber ist mir, ich finde auch eure Berichte hier, indem ihr im Chat eure Beiträge teilt und wir in Kommentaren aufeinander hinweisen. Die Gelegenheiten derzeit sind gewaltig, um Social Media ganz neu zu verwenden.

Klar, wenn ich mir den Aufwand betrachte, den ich damit habe, kommt trotz Challenge noch immer nicht viel dabei rum. Doch es bewegt sich was, und das ist, was ich mag! Anderswo hab ich viele Jahre meine Zeit nur verbrannt und noch mit Trollen diskutiert. Trolle interessieren mich heute nicht mehr. Ein großer Gewinn! 🤣

Und nun will ich keine weiteren, unnützen Worte verlieren. Diesmal wieder kein neues Gladius Case, also gleich rein ins Vergnügen:

Ich hatte noch gut 18 Minuten Zeit, um meine Kämpfe zu senden. Ich habe mir die Ergebnisse also nicht gleich ansehen können. Doch noch ein Grund, darüber zu bloggen: Ich sehe überhaupt mal, was ich da verzapft hab.

Kampf 1

Mein erster Gegner ist @lestlee. Bei "Gift" und nur Monster mit geradem Manawert entscheide ich mich für Erde mit Llama und Quora Towershead.

In die erste Reihe passt genau noch ein Flesh Golem. Und ein Chicken spare ich mir, damit mein Gegner bei Verwendung einer Karte mit "Skavanger" kein zusätzliches Herz bekommt. Denn jedes Herz kann bei "Gift" über Sieg und Niederlage entscheiden.

Mein Gegner erweist sich allerdings nicht als erfahren im Umgang mit "Gift" oder hat keine passenden Karten im Deck.

Kampf 2

Mein nächster Gegner ist @micore. Bei "Erdbeben" ohne Heilung mit nur 13 Mana entscheide ich mich für Leben und Gladiator Captain Katie.

Beim Gegner ein Gladiator Whistling Damon. Endlich mal beim Gegner auch ein Gladiator! Mein Scharfschütze ist jedoch stärker. Das hab ich mir ermöglicht mit kleinen Karten in den ersten Reihen. Der gegnerische Haunted Spirit mit Selbstheilung beim gegenwärtigen Regelsatz deutet erneut auf einen unerfahrenen Spieler hin. Level 1 Karten in Silber sind ein weiterer Hinweis.

Kampf 3

Mein dritter Gegner ist @jbtc19warrior. Deren Gilde wird uns am Ende zwei Platzierungen voraus sein. Das weiß ich zum Zeitpunkt der Teamauswahl freilich noch nicht.

Bei "Equilizer" mit 36 Mana entscheide ich mich für Leben mit Gladiator Katrelba Gobson.

Beim Gegner allerdings begegne ich einem Kron the Undying und epischem Goldfolie Magie of the Forest in Level 3!! Das bedeutet das gegnerische Llama ist in Level 2. Der Ausgang ist vorhersehbar.

Immerhin anschaulich: Mein Team knackt Kron in der letzten Reihe. Doch für Wood Nymph reicht es nicht. Und so bleibt die doppelte Heilung des Tankes unversehrt.

Kampf 4

Mein vierter Gegner ist @nnppnpp. Erneut "Gift" und diesmal mit reichlich Mana, entscheide ich mich für Feuer mit Gladiator Chimney Wallstop.

"Melee Mayham" ist jedes Mal ein Fest! Mein Gegner weiß das offenbar auch. Mein Living Lava mit Shield in der letzten Reihe erweist sich als ausgesprochen nützlich. Chimney plazierte ich in die dritte Reihe, damit der sich schön lange aufbauen kann, bevor er, wie erwartet, nach vorne rückt.

Kampf 5

Mein fünfter Gegner ist @agewriter. Mit 36 Mana sind nur Feuer und Tod möglich. Ich entscheide mich erneut für Feuer mit Gladiator Chimney Wallstop.

Mein Gegner spielt einen Beschwörer Owster Rotwell mit Magic Reflect und einen Gladiator Witch of Warwick. So sehr ich mich über diesen ebenbürtigen Gegner freue, letztlich unterliege ich deutlich.

Kampf 6

Mein sechster Gegner ist @truls. Mit nur 15 Mana sind auch hier wieder nur zwei Splinter möglich: Feuer oder Leben. Ich entscheide mich für Leben und Gladiator Captain Katie.

Beim Gegner ebenfalls ein Gladiator Captain Katie. Dieser greift drei mal schneller an. Das sieht unfair aus!! Wenn ich nur einmal schneller am Zug gewesen wäre, hätte meine Katie nicht den Kürzeren gezogen und die Sache wäre anders ausgegangen.

Als kleine Vorschau auf meinen Bericht zur 50. Rauferei: @truls' letztlich erstplazierte Gilde IMMORTAL GODS 6 wäre dann Punktgleich gewesen mit der zweitplazierten Crazy Chain, so dass bis hier her nur der Liga-Rang noch den ersten Platz bedeutet hätte.

Kampf 7

Mein siebter und letzter Gegner in diesem Durchgang ist @staydownoutlaw. Mit erneut nur 15 Mana sind diesmal Wasser, Leben und Drachen möglich. Ich entscheide mich für Wasser und Gladiator Isgald Vorst. Wasser ohne Magie zu spielen, erweist sich als vorteilhaft.

Beim Gegner ein Level 2 Djinn Dshannus mit Void und Phase gegen magische Angriffe. Trotzdem es anfangs gut aussieht, gelingt es mir jedoch leider nicht, diesen zu knacken.

Meine Hoffungen im Chat hatten sich nicht erfüllt. Ich hatte mich dabei jedoch auch stark verrechnet, denn ich hatte die spontane Rechnung ohne die vielen nicht stattfindenden Kämpfe gemacht, die all zu oft den Ausgang einer Rauferei stark verändern. Ich war jedoch zeitlich ja auch stark unter Druck. Und so war am Ende, ohne dass ich mir einen einzigen meiner Kämpfe unmittelbar hatte ansehen können, nurnoch rund eine Minute der Kampfphase übrig.
