My 9th Gladiator Fray still in Silver - Mein 9. Gladiator Zank weiter in Silber

Here again follow my own brawl battles. This time there are only four! There was also no new Gladius Case from the last Merit earnings.

My gladiators again in front of my eyes in a second browser tab:

My first opponent is @orbisan and the battle is pending due to lack of opposing team. I will take note of the team here for the post right away and this time only add the result afterwards.

With 42 mana and Stampede, I chose Quora Towershead so I could play Rexxie from the second row. At first I chose my Llama as the summoner, but that could only summon Rexxie at level 3 without Trample, so I put the Llama back. A little fun is a must!

With a look at their cards, however, I have not much to fear. All the greater will be the Trampede fun!

Update: When I came back here after the time expired, I found a battle going on. Now that's awesome. I love it when it actually happens!

The team lineup looks good. A Mylor Crowling on the opposing side as well. But the trample fun succeeds. And it's even better than bloodlust.

I like it when a strategy is not only fun but also unfolds, even though the opponent has to match it - and winning in silver against level 1 cards is really no great art, no. But it is fun. And we don't play cards to lose, although that's certainly part of it. Because how else can I test good teams, if not based on my own many defeats or by watching battles that others share. :-)

My second opponent is @lipiak. With 25 mana and Equilizer, I look at my gladiators with little health and decide on Earth first. However, I look again at Water as my only alternative.

And then I decide to change, because the summoners have no influence anyway. For both Splinters, I have the Epic for 2 mana, and I'm especially burning for Melee with Water. The gladiator Isgald Vorst with Oppornutiny strengthens my choice.

My opponent has a legendary Djinn Oshannus, but doesn't bring Sniper, Sneak, or Opportunity. My tank healer Crustacean Kind should be safe. My Sea Monster thus gets 8 damage and heals 6. Let's see how Isgald Vorst contributes ;-)

My third opponent is @kingeki. With the ruleset Poison I immediately decide for Quora Towershead and with 28 mana the Llama is also still easily in play. With the combination also @almightymelon4th had no luck, as you can see in My 8th Gladiator Fray still in Silver.

My opponent brings a legendary Caladium, which takes less damage thanks to Void from Quora. But will that be enough?

And my fourth opponent is @quarx. With 19 mana and no epic or legendary cards, the Gladiator Whistling Damon is quickly chosen.

For the summoner, I choose Owster Rotwell with Magic Reflect. However, this proves to be futile. Zintar Mortalis with -1 Melee on the opponent would clearly have been the better choice. And the Snipers have a lot of fodder ahead of them. This doesn't look like an easy thing to do.

DEUTSCH

Hier folgen wieder meine eigenen Rauferei-Kämpfe. Diesmal sind es nur vier! Auch ein neues Gladius Case gab es vom letzten Merit-Verdienst nicht.

Meine Gladiatoren noch mal vor Augen in einem zweiten Browser-Tab:

Mein erster Gegner ist @orbisan und der Kampf steht aus mangels gegnerischem Team. Ich werde das Team hier für den Beitrag also gleich mal notieren und diesmal nur das Ergebnis nachträglich einfügen.

Mit 42 Mana und Stampede entschied ich mich für Quora Towershead, damit ich Rexxie aus der zweiten Reihe spielen kann. Zuerst wählte ich als Beschörer mein Llama, doch das konnte Rexxie nur in Level 3 ohne Trample beschwören, und darum legte ich das Llama zurück. Ein bisschen Spaß muss sein!

Mit blick in deren Karten habe ich jedoch nicht viel zu befürchten. Um so größer wird der Trampede-Spaß!

Update: Als ich nach Ablauf der Zeit hier her zurück komme, finde ich einen Kampf vor. Das ist ja schon mal super. Ich liebe es, wenn es tatsächlich stattfindet!

Die Team-Aufstellung sieht gut aus. Ein Mylor Crowling auch auf gegnerischer Seite. Doch der Trample-Spaß gelingt. Und der ist sogar noch besser als Blutrausch.

Ich mag es, wenn eine Strategie nicht nur Spaß macht sondern sich auch entfaltet, wenngleich der Gegner dazu freilich auch passen muss - und in Silber gegen Level 1 Karten zu gewinnen ist nun wahrlich keine große Kunst, nein. Doch es ist Spaß. Und wir spielen Karten ja nicht, um zu verlieren, wenn das sicher auch dazu gehört. Denn wie sonst kann ich gute Teams testen, wenn nicht auch aufgrund der vielen eigenen Niederlagen oder indem ich mir Kämpfe anschaue, die Andere teilen. :-)

Mein zweiter Gegner ist @lipiak. Mit 25 Mana und Equilizer schaue ich auf meine Gladiatoren mit wenig Herzen und entscheide mich zuerst für Erde. Schaue jedoch noch mal auf Wasser, als meine einzige Alternative.

Und dann entscheide ich mich um, denn die Beschwörer haben sowieso keinen Einfluss. Für beide Splinter habe ich die Epischen für 2 Mana und da brenne ich bei Wasser ganz besonders auf Melee. Der Gladiator Isgald Vorst mit Oppornutiny bestärkt mir die Auswahl.

Mein Gegner wartet mit einem legendären Djinn Oshannus auf, doch bringt weder Sniper noch Sneak oder Opportunity mit. Mein Tankheiler Crustacean Kind dürfte damit sicher sein. Mein Sea Monster bekommt demnach 8 Schaden und heilt 6. Mal sehen, wie sich Isgald Vorst mit einbringt. ;-)

Mein dritter Gegner ist @kingeki. Beim Regelsatz Gift entscheide ich mich sofort für Quora Towershead und mit 28 Mana ist auch das Llama noch locker im Spiel. Bei der Kombination hatte zuletzt auch @almightymelon4th schon kein Glück, wie zu sehen in Mein 8. Gladiator Zank weiter in Silber.

Mein Gegner bringt einen legendären Caladium mit, der dank Void von Quora weniger Schaden einsteckt. Doch wird das reichen?

Und mein vierter Gegner ist @quarx. Mit 19 Mana und ohne epische oder legendäre Karten ist der Gladiator Whistling Damon schnell gewählt.

Beim Beschwörer entscheide ich mich für Owster Rotwell mit Magic Reflect. Das erweist sich jedoch als zwecklos. Zintar Mortalis mit -1 Melee beim Gegner wäre eindeutig die bessere Wahl gewesen. Und die Sniper haben eine Menge Futter vor sich. Das sieht nicht nach einer leichten Sache aus.
