Sequel ... I play gladiator cards for the first time - Fortsetzung ... spiele ich erstmals Gladiatoren-Karten

What a fuss about nickels and dimes as far as my previous post is concerned. That's truly silly and bitters the fun of blogging here. But I'm not here for the money. So on with the fun and then I'll see if there is another crypto-affine platform to blog on. I'm sure I'll come up with something.

@vitoragnelli has since sent his team. The fight allowed earth and was, with only 22 mana, an invitation to play the 2 mana gladiator "Bertrol Gobson". Here again the table of my gladiators from the previous post:

With 22 mana, I had speculated on not encountering any enemy snipers and placed classic Earth Elemental with six health in the back for 3 remaining mana. My Gladiator had already licked blood the second time, when the enemy tank with Blast was removed and Wood Nymph with second healing came out of danger. Already in the third round the fight was decided. Not only thanks to the Gladiator a complete success!

So now I have four open battles left with the gladiators. With the above table in mind, I go into battle!

The first of these battles at 22 mana allowed life and seemed just right to give "Ajax Lightfoot" a debut. I again chose a life team with Shield Bearer in second and Legendary Summoner for its healing and shield repair, but the fight did not happen. Interestingly, my opponent @pvibez420 from the Mountain Gods 2 guild fled at the exact moment I sent my team, because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten to team selection in the first place. With a look into his deck it becomes apparent that only Dragon Summoners are present and this Splinter was probably not allowed for the battle.

So it's a pity that Ajax Lightfoot didn't get his turn this time. I'm left with three fights.

The third to last fight has my least favorite rule set: none of the monster abilities apply. So I didn't even consider a gladiator, preferring to focus on choosing an effective summoner. My opponent is @gesenai and has not sent in a team yet. I'm therefore saving myself from sharing details here already and moving on to my next opponent with joyful anticipation. (Update: @gesenai did not enter a team. So unfortunately my team selection did not re-appear.)

My second to last fight with only 18 mana allows only odd mana costs with water, life or death. The even mana gladiators are thus already out anyway. Of the two 7 mana Gladiators I have left, I decide to go with Life again - first to try Shield Bearer again, even though mana is scarce. But the Shield Bearer is not there with the odd one. Time is on my back. I stick with life and choose a lean team that includes the more expensive Gladiator.

The gladiator proves to be a powerful fighter. Just as he threatens to be slain by the enemy sneaker, he has tasted blood and gets an armor back. This saves his life and ensures victory! Worth watching!!

The last battle is at hand. With 48 mana and playable with almost all splinters, except for water, I am spoiled for choice. Between Liza Fox and Captain Katie, my choice falls on the proven selection of the previous victories. Let's see if my opponent has anything to counter this time.

The fight is exciting. In round two the Shield Bearer is already resurrected and healed fast enough at the beginning of round 3. The Devine Shield of the ruleset also comes into play for a second time. The digital air shimmers! The Gladiator licks blood for the first time and the further course is too exciting to anticipate here ... have fun watching!

With a little practice from yesterday, the reporting went much more smoothly here today. One battle is still pending until the opponent has sent his team.

Was für eine Aufregung ums Kleingeld, soweit es meinen vorherigen Beitrag betrifft. Das ist wahrlich albern und verbittert den Spaß, hier zu bloggen. Doch für's Geld bin ich nicht hier. Also weiter mit dem Spaß und dann schaue ich mal, ob es eine andere crypto-affine Plattform zum Bloggen gibt. Ich lass mir sicher etwas einfallen.

Nun also rein ins Vergnügen. Es sind vier Kämpfe mit Gladiatoren offen. @vitoragnelli hat sein Team inzwischen gesendet. Der Kampf erlaubte Erde und war mit lediglich 22 Mana eine Einladung den 2 Mana Gladiator "Bertrol Gobson" zu spielen. Hier noch mal die Tabelle meiner Gladiatoren aus dem vorherigen Beitrag:

Mit 22 Mana hatte ich darauf spekuliert, auf keinen gegnerischen Scharfschützen zu treffen und hinten für 3 verbleibende Mana den Klassiker Earth Elemental mit sechs Herzen plaziert. Mein Gladiator hatte bereits das zweite Mal Blut geleckt, als der gegnerische Tank mit Blast entfernt war und Wood Nymph mit zweiter Heilung außer Gefahr kam. Bereits in der dritten Runde hat sich der Kampf dann entschieden. Nicht nur dank Gladiator ein voller Erfolg!

Nun bleiben mir also noch vier offene Kämpfe mit den Gladiatoren. Die obige Tabelle vor Augen ziehe ich in den Kampf!

Der erste dieser Kämpfe mit 22 Mana erlaubte Leben und erschien mir genau passend, um "Ajax Lightfoot" ein Debut zu geben. Ich wählte erneut ein Leben-Team mit dem Shield Bearer in zweiter Reihe und legendärem Beschwörer für dessen Heilung und Schild-Reparatur, doch es kam nicht zum Kampf. Interessanterweise floh mein Gegner @pvibez420 aus der Gilde Mountain Gods 2 genau in dem Moment, als ich mein Team gesendet hatte, denn sonst wäre ich ja gar nicht erst zur Teamauswahl gelangt. Mit einem Blick in dessen Deck wird deutlich, dass nur Drachen-Beschwörer vorhanden sind und dieser Splinter vermutlich nicht für den Kampf zugelassen wurde.

Schade also, dass Ajax Lightfoot diesmal nicht zum Zug kam. Mir bleiben drei Kämpfe.

Der drittletzte Kampf hat den bei mir am wenigsten beliebten Regelsatz: Es gelten keine der Monster-Fertigkeiten. Einen Gladiator habe ich also gar nicht erst in Erwegung gezogen und mich lieber auf die Auswahl eines effektiven Beschwörers konzentriert. Mein Gegner ist @gesenai und hat noch kein Team eingesandt. Ich spare mir darum, hier bereits Details zu teilen und gehe mit freudiger Erwartung zum nächsten Gegner. (Update: @gesenai hat kein Team gesendet. Daher ist meine Teamauswahl leider nicht wieder aufgetaucht).

Mein vorletzter Kampf mit nur 18 Mana erlaubt nur ungerade Manakosten mit Wasser, Leben oder Tod. Die geraden Mana Gladiatoren fallen damit sowieso bereits aus. Von den beiden 7 Mana Gladiatoren, die mir bleiben, entscheide ich mich erneut für Leben - zunächst um es wieder mit dem Shield Bearer zu versuchen, wenn das Mana auch knapp ist. Doch der Shield Bearer ist bei den ungeraden nicht dabei. Die Zeit ist mir im Nacken. Ich bleibe bei Leben und wähle ein schlankes Team, das den teurer Gladiatoren beinhaltet.

Der Gladiator erweist sich als mächtiger Kämpfer. Gerade als er droht, vom gegnerischen Hinterhalt erschlagen zu werden, hat er Blut geleckt und bekommt einen Panzer zurück. Dieser rettet ihm das Leben und sichert mir den Sieg! Sehenswert!!

Der letzte Kampf steht an. Mit 48 Mana und spielbar mit fast allen Splintern, bis auf Wasser, habe ich die Qual der Wahl. Zwischen Liza Fox und Captain Katie fällt meine Wahl auf die bewährte Auswahl der vorherigen Siege. Wollen wir sehen, ob mein Gegner dem diesmal etwas entgegenzusetzen hat.

Der Kampf verläuft spannend. In Runde zwei wird der Shield Bearer bereits wieder auferstanden und zu Beginn von Runde 3 noch schnell genug geheilt. Das Devine Shield des Regelsatzes kommt ebenfalls ein zweites Mal zur Geltung. Die digitale Luft flimmert! Der Gladiator leckt ein erstes Mal Blut und der weitere Verlauf ist zu spannend, um es hier vorweg zu nehmen ... viel Spaß beim Anschauen!

Mit ein bisschen Übung von gestern ging das heute hier mit der Berichterstattung schon deutlich flotter. Ein Kampf ist noch schwebend, bis der Gegner sein Team gesendet hat.
