Underrated Card in Water Element !

Hi Everyone

There are a lot of good monsters and summoners in splinterlands, but in this post, I want to share about one monster from water elements, which I think is strong, and I never see a lot people using this monster in my rank ( Silver - Gold )

So.. the monster is.......

IGOR DARKSPEAR

Igor Darkspear is a ranged water monster which costs 2 mana

These are the stats for every levels

Explanation for every levels :

Level 1 and 2
Since I don't really use level 1 and 2 of this card, I can't really tell, but it's still a pretty solid backline, having 4 / 5 HP, ranged, with 3 speed

Level 3
Level 3 Epic is the maximum we can use in silver rank. With increased 1 ranged damage, this monster is giving so much value, remembering that only cost 2 mana to use it !

Level 4 and 5
Around the same with level 3, but with STUN ability

Level 6
3 Ranged attack, 5 HP, 3 speed, Stun ability, with only 2 MANA 😍

Why I think IGOR DARKSPEAR is good

1. With only 2 mana, he can suit with a lot of mana cap, giving a good value of ranged damage + solid HP for backline

2. He is good in a lot rules, especially in this rule
   
   in small mana cap, from what I experienced in my rank, people usually use melee / magic, thats why ranged can be a good option because enemy rarely anticipated it

3. In small mana cap, attack first can increase your winning chance by a lot, because usually in small mana cap, HP of the enemy is not very high, so attacking first can lead to early kill. Igor Darkspear has a speed of 3, which I consider is good enough in silver - gold rank, and in gold rank, he got a STUN which can skip 1 of the enemy turn he hit. STUN is one of the strongest ability a monster can have in the game in my opinion

4. Not a lot monster / summoner have Return Fire ability compared to thorns / magic reflect, which means ranged monster have less counter than melee / magic monsters

Conclusion is, Mana to value ratio is good ( with only 2 mana, you get so much value )

Summoner for using him

I personally recommend Selenia Sky and Kelya Frendul
Selenia Sky : Buff ranged attack of monsters, very suitable for Igor Darkspear. Also, Selenia sky is a dragon summoner, dragon element has some strong ranged attack monster like Fire Spitter, Lightning Dragon, then combined with water splinters is a very strong combination, because water element has a solid formation ranged attack monster, such as Poseidon, Axemaster, Azmare Harpoonist, Water Elemental, and many more
Kelya Frendul : +1 Speed and + Shield, making Igor darkspear become stronger backline, because most of the time, sneak attack is a melee monster, and +1 shield from Keyla can waste 1 turn of the sneak monster to attack. +1 speed also useful to boost monster to attack first in normal rule

Back to Basic	Link	With 27 mana cap, a 2 mana- 3 damage- 5 hp monster is a must go for me, putting the turtle & Oshannus in front as tank and semi tank, the rest is backline damage. Ranged attack monster doesn't really affected by the rule, because they can just shoot from far ( not like opportunity / sneak which become completely useless )
No Heal, Divine Shield	Link	The enemy picks a strong formation, blast damage against divine shield is strong because you can remove either 2 or 3 divine shield at one turn. But I also pick Axemaster which can do a double hit every turn. My formation is to burst the enemy tank as fast as I can, and I add 1 Pirate Captain to hit enemy's buff / debuff monster. Again, Igor Darkspear showing it's value for a 2 mana monster by bursting the enemy tank
Fog Of War, Equalizer	Link	Enemy is using Mylor Crawling, but it doesn't affect me much since I'm using ranged monsters, and Fog of war make it safer for me, no one can flank my backline damage. Tips : In equalizer rule, try to put as many monsters as you can, and prioritize huge damage monsters
Lost Legendaries	Link	Igor Darkspear is not legendary, so I can use him in this battle. Also, in this match, I put flying squid and him as core damager, and looks like he doing good in burning the tank. He also not get damaged by enemy's thorns
