The Summoner's Spellbook and my First Battle.

(Edited)

So, I bought the Summoner's Spellbook that's worth $10 and I didn't invest that money from my pocket. I actually used a different strategy for that money. I used my artistic skill and joined splinterlands art contest for four times with four individual arts and posts.

I got upvotes worth $87.6 on those posts and if I divide 87.6 in 4 then that would be $21.9 in liquid HBD. I used only $10 and my wallet should still hold $11.9 which says I didn't invest the money from my pocket although I did invest my time and knowledge into it.

Well, I don't feel like keep drawing right now so I thought of giving this game a try and without thinking more, I purchased the summoner's Spellbook to get -

  1. Daily Quest Rewards
  2. Earn Splintershards
  3. Ranged Season Rewards
  4. Tournament Access
  5. Open Card Packs

After logging into the game site, I got the option to get o the Summoner's Spellbook purchase page and after landing there, I've found out that it needs $10 that I could pay via PayPal or via some crypto coins. After scrolling, I've found HBD and HIVE option there and as I had HBD in my wallet so I chose HBD as payment method.

for $10, I had to pay 10.229 HBD which I went through via give signer which was linked in the purchase page.

After purchasing the spellbook, I got this notification about having a new daily quest available. I clicked on the start button and it took me to the battle page. From the battle page, I could start battling already but I thought of trying the tutorial from how to play option.

After clicking on how to play, I was taken to another page where I've found some information about the game and there was the tutorial play option as well which I interacted with.

After someone came to bully me finding a newbie, there came Professor Lorelax who wishes to help me and who wishes to teach me how I should do the battling.

The professor went through the whole process of showing how I can start playing and how I should select my cards and where I should put them. His lessons are really great for newbies. His suggestions were very good that using them, I won my first real battle as well.

After the tutorial, it was time to do a real battle but there was a confusing page with two options. There were modern battle and wild battle. Modern battle allows limited cards to only core, reward, promo or expansion cards associated with Chaos Legion or Untamed. And Wild battle allows all cards from all sets.

As I don't have any cards owned by me in my collection other than just having some random starter cards, I went for wile battle.

My Battle: Fire V Earth = Battle Link:

Cards Selection:

My Lineup Strategy: I chose a fire team with total five cards (A summoner card and 4 monster cards)
Total mana for the battle was 29. This battle was easier for me as I followed what Professor Lorelax taught me in the tutorial. In the tutorial, I got an opponent who was using earth element for previous battles so Professor Lorelax advised me to select Fire element to overpower the opponent.

After checking on previous history, I felt like this opponent would choose earth element as well so I used fire element and after choosing the summoner that wastes 3 mana, I chose Living Lava for the 1st place which is a melee card that wastes 7 mana. Then I chose another melee card but this time I chose a melee card which can attack from the second position and that allows when the card has reach ability, abilities can be checked while selecting cards so I didn't have problems finding this card that needs 5 mana. Then I chose a ranged attacked that costs 6 mana and the last monster I chose costs 4 mana. There I've used all the mana.

Combat:
Enemy team first attacked friendly team. Venari Knifer of enemy team attacked with two melee attack and Living Lava of friendly team lost one armor. Then Scavo Firebolt and Molten Ahs Golem of friendly team one after another attacked with total three ranged attacks and Venari Knifer of enemy team lost total three health. Then Living Lava of friendly team attacked with two melee attacks and Venari Knifer of enemy team lost three health and Venari Knifer of enemy team also attacked with thorns ability and Living Lava of friendly team lost one armor.

Then Radiated Brute of friendly team attacked with two melee attacks and Venari Knifer of enemy team lost last one health and Venari Knifer of enemy team then attacked with thorns ability before dying where Radiated Brute of friendly team lost two health. Then Venari Scout of enemy team attacked Radiated Brute with one melee attack and then Mycelic Infantry of enemy team attacked Living Lava with three melee attacks where friendly team monsters lost one health and two health.

No monsters died in round two but Mycelic Infantry of enemy team lost all armors and Radiated Brute of friendly team lost most of its health. Venari Scout of enemy monster attacked Radiated Brute of friendly team and the friendly monster died. Then Mycelic Infantry of enemy team attacked Living Lava and the friendly monster died.

No monsters died in these rounds. But both friendly monsters lost good health where the front enemy monster lost only one health in each round. This sixth round changed the face of the battle when Mycelic Infantry of enemy team died losing all health. Then Mycelic Morphoid of enemy team died in the next round and the battle was packed up in round 8 when the last enemy monster died.

End of the battle.

How's it? I'd like to get some honest opinions.
If anybody has any kinds of advice, suggestions on my game review/storytelling, I would be happy to receive them.

Thanks for reading my post.
