My First Matched - DRAW

Does anyone have any tips or strategies for staying in, or getting passed Bronze II? I just started this week and I'm having some difficulties.

The main cards I try using are the Gelatinous Cube, Venari Wavesmith, and the Creeping Ooze. Though I can never really use that against the Mustang. Any and all tips are appreciated. I wanna be able to keep playing and earning instead of getting bumped back down to Bronze III.
