Hive power up day and some splinterlands stuff!

Well I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses getting HBD when they get rewards, the fun thing with getting a fair bit of hive as rewards from my daily art posts is I was able to power up 50hp, which is really nice.
Lookit that chart! I love charts.

It's been pretty rewarding to see the growth even if a lot of my daily art posts don't do super well, enough get some attention that I keep posting. Plus it works as something of a daily journal for me.

SPLINTERLANDS

So despite being super lazy for most of the season I got up to gold 2 this season, and was 11 in the silver leader board. (Which means I'm now in the gold leader board which sucks)

I also broke 10K sps on my main account!

The final splinterlands thing is that each season I'm trying to make some improvement in my deck. The current season's improvement was upgrading Taye Loreswift to level two giving her inspiration.

My current biggest weakness is that when the only splinters are fire and death I have no summoner that can make use of my higher level cards.

The problem is getting any summoner up to the point where they can summon lvl 2 epic cards is expensive.

Getting Doklar Darflack from level 2 to level 5 would cost about 27 bucks. The 3 mana cost is really nice but like, that's a lot to upgrade.

Which at that point it'd be only slightly more expensive to get something epic like Brave the Bull or Rasquil for a similiar amount.

Rasquil is seriously appealing. Being able to give anyone taunt gives serious control over the battle field and everyone flying is great, esp for the earthquake rule set.

The cheapest option for a higher level fire splinter is the foundation summoner Barthalamas which gives +1 speed but also costs a lot of mana for it. Plus there's the level cap.

I'd love to get Hanv, but at 10 bucks a pop that's getting pricy to get him to level 2. I may rent one for the season to see if it's really worth the investment to own.

So that's my dilemma for upgrades in Splinterlands.

I'm leaning towards doing some renting to see how much and how well I can actually make use of each card.
