My Journey Into Splinterlands - A Fateful Encounter

I have been playing Splinterlands from the time it was known as Steemmonsters and it was back in 2018 yes it has been over 5 years since then and I still play this game regularly even though a lot of things have changed. I will say that even though I joined in pretty early I wasn't among the first people as I missed out on the ALPHA PACK SALE and I joined in when it was the BETA CARD SALE that was ongoing, truth be told I was very aware about investing 10 USD on the starter pack as I wasn't sure about the future of the Game but thanks to some people who were willing to delegate their entire Deck to me I was able to learn and at the same time earn some money so that I could afford decent Monsters and Summoners for my Future Battle.

I clearly remember how there were some Monsters and Summoners that were highly in demand as they were simply a cut above others. For example, PRINCE RENNYN is an Earth Summoner who was simply Overpowered, and almost 8 out of 10 times if I see this Summoner on the opponent I am sure to Lose. Similarly, there were other Legendary Monsters like the LORD ARIANTHUS which was also a lot of trouble as I didn't have that Monster on my Deck while opponents had him.

One of the things that really worked for me in my favor was my lookout for cheap deals on Gold Foil Cards I used to buy them just because they looked cool and it also gave some extra rewards but those cards really grew up in value and gave me literally 10X returns on my investment. I was so delighted with my decision that to date I am still looking for good deals on Gold Foil Cards so that I can make some decent returns when the market goes back up.

The Next Chapter in my Splinterlands Journey came with Splintershards or what we call SPS which was an AIRDROP that was given to almost all the active players I Being a player from 2018 I obviously got a huge amount of SPS but I sold almost all of my SPS and cashed out and even though the future of SPS looks bright now I had no clue what was going to happen so I logically decided it was time to cash out and I got a hefty chunk of money from this endeavor.

This is the part from where I split off as I got a job got married and lots of other stuff so I wasn't able to keep tabs on what was happening in Splinterlands even though I tried to play at least 10-15 minutes every single day. Since I have been so busy I couldn't participate in the Land Sale and I didn't buy anything as I didn't have enough info as to what Land was or what benefits it was going to give me.

If I have to conclude I would say that Splinterlands is a wonderful game that I found out thanks to some friends who pointed me towards this game and even after 5 years I am still playing this Game.
