Escalation Water Element | Nerfed or Buff ??

what's up Splinter Player around the Praetoria how are you doing?
In this content i want to talk about Escalation new mini set units. This time i will talking about Water Element Escalation sets. I dont know why but after Conclave Arcana set comes out, Water seems nerfed very much. Not like when Chaos Legion set comes out. Water element is really bad ass. But, this time Water element is depends on Cryptic Combo with miss and Elias Max Pruitt combo with Armor Strike combo.

There are 2 common cards, 2 rare cards, 1 epic card, and 2 legendary cards. In this escalation sets i dont know how to say it. It is hard to combine especially with Loving The Moo as archons. Kinda hard since there is really a few and shorts for the line up combo with bloodlines.
Common Card
Phlegmost

The first card from common is Phlegmost, this is kinda very usefull nowdays as damage dealer breaker. This unit is support ability that can be as a tanker too. This unit costing 9 mana with 3 magic damage 2 armor 8 health and just 2 speed. What makes good is its ability that is Fury that will gives double damage to taunt ability unit. And the second new ability that makes this unit kinda really good is Reprisal that is make any damage dealer that having more 5 damage in 1 round will get taunt ability and it will revealed also if having camouflage. with this ability it really great that will make opponent damage dealer will be targeted first. Next ability is Weaken that will reduce max health opponent line up. And the last is Heal that will healing this unit each round.
Blue Wyrm Travesty

Next is the Undead called Blue Wyrm Travesty that costing 13 mana with 9 melee damage 5 armor 12 health and 5 speed. This unit kinda scary at first. But, in order to make this unit usefull is really hard because it really fragile and easy to get killed since this unit only have 2 abilities that is Slow that will make opponent line up 1 speed debuff and Invigorate that will make any unit that having weary ability will not exhausted at all. So, basically this unit having support ability with massive melee damage which is really contrast and hard to use.
Rare
Drifting Manatee

Next Rare rarity comes with non attacker unit that is Drifting Manatee. This unit is kinda support but can be a good attacker if combined with weapon training unit. Costing 3 mana with Mundane Beast bloodline with 5 armor 7 health and 1 speed. Not too good for the stat but the ability kinda really good as support with Dodge ability for first that kinda not too usefull compared with its speed then cleanse rearguard that can cleansing any backline unit then amplify that will adding damage from thorns, magic reflect ability damage. Then the last is stun that will having chance to make opponent skipping its turn after got hit and stunned.
Darkguard Ironwing

Next is Darkguard Ironwing Avian bloodline that costing 7 mana with 2 range damage 7 armor 6 health adn 4 speed. Its look like weak unit right?But, lets see the ability first. The first ability is Apex Strike that will attacking the highest damage first so it will seeking the damage dealer. Not only that this unit is hunter that cutting down the damage dealer with this second ability Halving that will cutting down the damage by half. So, basically this unit is hunter that can hunting down the damage dealer to get weaken. And then the next ability is Repair that will repair his damaged armor. And the last is Armor Strike with range damage. It can be a good combo with repair. So each turn after this unit armor got damaged it can be repair by itself and also it can throw armor. So basically this unit is super strong depends on how much this unit having the armor.
Epic
Saltwraith Corsair

Next for epic rarity there is just 1 unit called Saltwraith Corsair Tideborn bloodline with costing just 3 mana having 3 range damage 5 health and 3 speed. Kinda not good stats actually. Its ability is Kindred Spirit that will give adjacent unit that having Kindred Will ability be stun ability. And then Reprisal ability that will make any opponent unit that gives damage more than 5 damage got taunt ability. And the last is Fury that will double damage the taunt ability unit
Legendary
Maud Stonefoot

For Legendary there are 2 cards for this set. The first is called Maud Stonefoot. This legendary is dwarf bloodline with 0 manacost which is really usefull having 2 magic damage 4 health and 3 speed. Having Bloodline Pact that will give 1 power each this shared bloodline defeated opponent and if any bloodline allied got defeated it will get damage 1 for all shared bloodline and if this unit died, all shared bloodline will get 2 damage.
Malthraksis

The next legendary is Malthraksis, this unit having dual damager Undead bloodline with 2 range and melee damage each 1 armor 8 health and 3 speed but costing 7 mana. Actually this unit is not bad. But its not good either. It need some support for to be carry and damage dealer. This unit having opportunity ability that will hunting down the lowest health in opponent line up and the second is Kindred Will that will give adjecent unit Kindred Spirit ability be Deflection Shroud ability then next ability is Painforge that will give 1 power after got burned, poisoned, or got hit by ally. The last is Protect that will gives 2 armor to all allied.
So far i dont think this water escalation set can help much for water element in modern. I think its still using old combo that mostly using Rebellion sets. But, in some case might be can be used when combined with other else element using sharing bloodline. Hopefully next conflict Escalation Archon will help this sets or it will be downgrade from Rebellion set.
