Speed Plays an Important Role in Battles || 4 Monsters Awarded After Completing Chapter 5

In Splinterlands the Campaign mode plays a very important role especially for players who are new to the game and want to understand it properly. My suggestion would be to first complete the campaign chapters because they not only help you understand the gameplay but also provide detailed knowledge about card types, abilities and stats.

Today I am exploring another chapter from the Campaign mode. Last week we discussed ranged attack monsters including what ranged attacks are, how to identify them and how and where they should be used in battles.

Today we are going to talk about another important power which is Speed. You can find this power in the right bottom corner with the visual of the boot with blue background or just by taking cursor on it you can read the name.

Speed plays a very important role in battles. I often see players ignoring this power because most of their focus remains on armor, health and attack. However that approach is not completely correct.

We should always look for balanced abilities and select monsters that have well balanced stats so they can give the best performance in battle. A battle with balance monster cards and proper selection and positioning is always a win.

Speed is one of the most important mechanics in battles because it affects both attack order and hit chance. Units with higher speed attack faster and also dodge more attacks while slower monsters have a higher chance of missing their attacks.

Speed does not only decide which unit takes its turn first but it also decreases the accuracy of melee and ranged attacks. Every one point difference in speed reduces attack accuracy by 10%.

For example imagine a melee attacker with a speed of 2 attacking a target with a speed of 5. 5-2=3

This means the attack has a 30% chance to miss.

No matter how powerful a card may be if it gets defeated or misses its attack it cannot deal any damage. That is why speed based monsters play a very important role in battles and should always be considered carefully.

In todays campaign I once again clicked on the campaign mode and then selected Chapter Five 5 with the name Speed. I used to play a practice battle. As you can see the game also provides detailed explanations about speed abilities and what speed monsters can do in battle.

The campaign highlights speed based monsters in a short battle and demonstrates how they can effectively use their speed power. After completing the battle or you can say after completing the campaign chapter I also received rewards.

I received four monster cards as rewards including Marlai Singariel, Port Guardian, Waterlogged Wizard and Spitting Camel.

These are four monster cards that all contain speed related abilities. One of them even includes an Archon which gives you more options for Archon selection.

In my opinion campaigns like these not only improve your learning experience but also provide excellent rewards. As you can see I received four good monster cards simply for completing the campaign chapter.

You should definitely try these campaigns and complete their chapters so you can continue earning more rewards while also improving your understanding of the game.
