Chaos Legion - EARTH splinter cards unveiled
Oh, guys,
I am so excited to share with you the Chaos Legion cards unveiled on the testing server for Splinterlands. Some images are not of the best quality but I wanted to share this with you as soon as I could as I am excited by all the new cards. They look and feel amazing and I can't wait to start playing with them.
Let's get started :)
We will start with legendary cards and we will go down to the common ones. I am excited about all cards and cant wait to see them in play.
Queen Mycelia
I love hits that bloody art direction around Queen Mycelia. It fits well with abilities and other Earth splinter cards. I also like all those abilities, especially Protect and Amplify. This card will be amazing with Mylor Crowling and Thorns ability because of Amplify ability which means double damage from Thorns. Triage is also very good same as Rust to buff that Thorns damage even more.
The stats are decent but abilities are where this card shines. 1 magic damage and 4 health on every level. It is more a buffer than a damage dealer.
Fungus Fiend
Another Fiend card - a replacement for the Chicken. Really interesting with 1 attack and 2 health. It means it can take a hit or two.
Slow ability is good but we get that on the max level. Still, it will be a very good monster when you will have an empty spot in your team. Nice card.
Grund
I love the art on this one - he looks like a Lego monster :) High mana cost but that's why we have big damage and cool abilities. Due to high health, he could be placed in the first position.
Double Strike and Trample abilities are amazing. A real damage dealer that could swipe your entire board with the right rule set. On the max level, he even gets stun which is in good synergy with Double Strike and Trample. A real beast.
Hunter Jarx
We saw this guy before. Amazing card with high damage, high health, and low speed. Luckily he does have True Strike ability so his attacks will hit the target.
Snipe is also a good addition as 3 damage will surely kill some targets that are out of position. I like him a lot.
Acid Shooter
We saw this guy before as well as his stats. Big damage for 2 mana, but we don't control where he strikes. But look at those stats, just amazing, amazing.
It gets really interesting on the max level when he gets Poison ability. A very powerful ability that can knock out a monster that is well defended.
Mycelic Slipspawn
The amazing card that could absorb all those heavy attacks due to his Forcefield ability. The stats are decent, even on level 1 with 12 health.
Taunt and Immunity on level one are fun. That ability makes this card interesting even for Bronze players.
Regal Peryton
I love the art on this one. A real Earth monster. A simple one, with a decent attack and amazing speed, and good health.
Speed is really interesting here as you can use him in the last position to dodge all those Sneak attacks. Imagine Sand Worm trying to hit this one. It won't happen!
Goblin Tower
Does this look like an Earth card? I would prefer it as a Fire card. But well, maybe it's just me. Art is amazing, same as through the whole Chaos Legion expansion. The card is really interesting for reverse speed with that 5 damage and the Blast ability.
Health is great, even on lower levels. I can see that this card could have a lot of use due to Blast ability especially with +1 ranged damage.
Mycelic Infantry
Oh, this guy is amazing. I love the art there and the stats. 3 damage, shield, 3 armor, and 7 health on level 1 is amazing. Speed is bad but hey you can't have all.
Giant Killer ability is amazing. It does 2x damage to monsters that cost 10 or more mana. The only downside is that he might miss due to low speed. In reverse speed rule set he will be amazing.
Mycelic Morphoid
Great 1 mana cost card with interesting stats. It can be used in all those melee rule sets that we get and in the low mana rule set.
It gets thorns in the Bronze league so we may not need Mylor Crowling after all. Really good card for only 1 mana. I will surely use this one.
Venari Knifer
I love this one. Look at those stats and those abilities. Art is amazing as well. He reminds me a bit of WoW Rogue armor. I think that speed is the main strength of this guy.
It seems that he could be a part of that speed meta with Dodge and Backfire abilities. If you manage to buff him with Flying he could be a real beast.
Venari Scout
Another amazing card with good speed and good health even on level one. As an attacker, he will be better on level 4 forward when he has 2 attacks.
He has interesting abilities with Opportunity and Triage. So he is not the only attacker but a healer as well.
Hill Giant
I like the art of Hill Giant. He is all about pure stats. For 3 mana in the Bronze league, you get a decent tank with 2 attack.
On higher levels, he has Stun ability that could be useful as his speed could enable us to stun a target.
Goblin Psychic
I like this one due to the 2 magic attacks and Heal ability. Exactly what Earth splinter needs. Art is also really satisfying, which is the case with all art surrounding Chaos Legion expansion.
Other abilities are really good including Affliction and Silence. Goblin Psychic could be the card that we could see a lot once Chaos Legion is out.
Summary
These are unveiled cards for Earth splinter in the new Chaos Legion expansion. These are not all cards as far I know. We still need to get Promo cards and I will share them with you as soon as I see them. How do you like those cards? Are you excited as I am? Can't wait to start playing with them.
