I draw Splinterland's Grum in my own style (ENG/ITA)

Hello everyone, we are at appointment number 12 of this column, where I draw the characters of @splinterlands with my own style. For me it is always a lot of fun to draw @splinterlands characters, because they are very original characters and full of interesting features. Today's drawing has as its protagonist the gigantic Grum, a warrior ogre of incredible strength. This time, in my opinion, my drawing does not differ much from the original drawing, this is because the style used for Grum is very similar to my drawing style. Below you can see my final work and the original character.

To make this drawing I was inspired by some plates that portray the Marvel characters Hulk and Juggernaut, both huge, muscular and angry. Viewing some images as a reference for me is very important and useful to define the position of the body. After deciding on the idea, I immediately put my ideas on a quick sketch. Once the preparatory drawing is done, I appreciate various changes and corrections. Once the main subject is defined, I clean everything and make a final clean drawing. Then I paint the whole illustration in flat colors, only at the final stage do I add lights and shadows to the drawing. Below you can see the steps of the illustration creation phase.

As a last step I created a background that allowed the protagonist to be the real protagonist of the scene. I really enjoy seeing the various steps of the creative process and it helps me understand what I could improve. I like the final result and this time it comes very close to the original design.

Ciao a tutti, siamo all'appuntamento numero 12 di questa rubrica, dove disegno i personaggi di @splinterlands con il mio stile. Per me è sempre molto divertente disegnare i personaggi di @splinterlands, perchè sono personaggi molto originali e pieni di caratteristiche interessanti. Il disegno di oggi ha come protagonista il gigantesco Grum, un orco guerriero dall'incredibile forza. Questa volta, a mio parere, il mio disegno non si allontana troppo dal disegno originale, questo perchè lo stile utilizzato per Grum è molto simile al mio stile di disegno. Qui di seguito puoi vedere il mio lavoro finale e il personaggio originale.

Per realizzare questo disegno mi sono ispirato ad alcune tavole ritraenti i personaggi Marvel Hulk e Juggernaut, entrambi enormi, muscolosi e arrabbiati. Visionare alcune immagini come referenze per me è molto importante e utile per definire la posizione del corpo. Decisa l'idea metto subito le mie idee su un disegno veloce. Una volta realizzato il disegno preparatorio, faccio varie modifiche e correzioni. Definito il soggetto principale, pulisco tutto e faccio un disegno definitivo pulito. Successivamente coloro l'intera illustrazioni con colori piatti, solamente nella fase finale aggiungo al disegno luci e ombre. Qui di seguito puoi vedere i passaggi della fase di realizzazione dell'illustrazione.

Come ultimo passaggio ho realizzato uno sfondo che permettesse al personaggio principale di essere il vero protagonista della scena. Vedere i vari passaggi del processo creativo mi piace molto e mi aiuta a capire cosa potrei migliorare. Il risultato finale mi piace, e questa volta si avvicina molto al design originale.
