Splinterlands Art Contest

Here’s my entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest. This time I drew “Medusa”.
I chose this one because it looked so cool you know, with red eyes and snakes.
The most difficult part was drawing the hair. I didn’t want it to be so simple so I drew them like a snake’s scales - it took a lot of time to draw them. First I drew the scales and then colored them, but then I realized it’s much better to color it first and then draw the scales. It’s not quite easy to draw on the coloring part because the lines may not be obvious so I used a fine liner pen.

Materials:

Prismacolor and Faber-Castell colored pencils on Steinbach paper
Paper cutter and white pen
Fine liner pen
