Splinterlands Art Contest

Hiii everyone ^^
Here’s my drawing for the Splinterlands Art Contest. This week I decided to draw the portrait of “Sola Ranjell”
My first impression when I saw her was like oh my God, she really looks like a princess! So as I was drawing her my focus was on drawing her gorgeous. I started with the sketch and as you can see it’s so so messy. She has white hair with black highlights but I decided to give her a gray hair color.
I’m new to digital art so what I struggled the most when working on this piece was coloring her hair. Drawing hair has always been hard for me but through drawing for a long time I found a way to draw it realistically but I still haven’t found a way in digital art. I wanted to draw it as realistically as I could so when I was coloring her body part I made sure to show the shadow of hair on her skin and by doing this I think it has more depth.
For the background, I used yellow and gold colors to give it a cool vibe.
After finishing the drawing I feel like something about her hair is a bit off so I worked more on it and made it a little darker.
