Pixelart: Chain Golem
My Pixelart version of Chain Golem in the Splinterlands game. As I look at the whole formation of Chain Golem. It reminds me of the movie, Real Steel, which is a boxing fight of Robots. This is my inspiration for this pixelart. We can see in the background there are some fence that serves as the boxing ring.
Chain Golem looks ready to fight! It is already swinging its ultimate weapon.
Creating the outline of the head.
Outline of its body and legs.
After creating the one side of the leg. I selected it to make a copy and then flipped it vertically for the other side.
Creating the outline of its arms.
Same procedure just like what I did on the legs.
Creating the outline of the chains.
Creating chains on the legs is a little bit hard because it is in the diagonal orientation.
Creating big chains on its chest. This must be the protection for its internal mechanism.
Creating the outline of the chain on the arms.
Adding some spikes.
Adding details on its head.
Creating the outline of its weapon.
Coloring the armor of Chain Golem.
Coloring the chains.
Coloring its weapon.
Shadings and shadows.
Adding details on the background.
Adding the glowing effect and also the shadow for the whole character.
Creating the other positions of the weapon to make it move in the animation.
The head or the ball will be the same. I just have to move it manually per frame. While the chains needs to be created with new outline.
