I think is because there no SPS rewards and team want from you feedback - what do you think about this mode.
So limit here players is pointless.
The old survival with huge rewards had really big cooldowns!
I rented cards for 65k DEC for whole season and I opened like 400 chaos packs just to get more 1 bcx summoners :)

That 65k DEC worth of Cards you rented, was it a predefined set of Cards or did you rent individual Cards you knew would work for you?
Many cards mostly summoners and max level cards.
I know pretty well, which cards work well, so was no problem to know that.
I rented them each by each.
My best place was top 10 leaderboard champion I modern and top 3 in gold leaderboard modern.
So I know how to play this game, now I am in high diamond playing with only silver deck in modern ;)
