This is what you get when you claim your season rewards late. True or False?

Last season, it was 4am in the morning when it ended and claimed my rewards late. I woke up at 6am in the morning and the first thing i did was claiming my rewards in the season. I ended up in the Gold III rank which gave me 22 chest. Unfortunately, I got a lot of potions and cheap cards. I was thinking, maybe they all took the good rewards because i was the last one who claimed it.
