Splinterlands Untamed - Lorna Shine VS Yodin Zaku

Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. This time I will share with you a wild battle from a tournament I participated in. Only cards from the alpha and untamed set were allowed in this tournament. Unfortunately, I don't have alpha cards, but I do have many untamed cards, which I love since they were the first ones I bought when I started playing Splinterlands.

The modifier for this battle is the Even Stevens, which only allows units with even mana costs on the battlefield. By the way, in this tournament the max level of the cards will be: commons: 3, rare and epics: 2 and legendaries 1.

I opted for the life summoner, Lorna Shine, one of my favorite summoners, as she grants the divine shield ability to all her summoned units, allowing them to ignore the first damage they will receive; a very useful defensive ability.

In the first position I put the Crystal Jaguar, a mundane beast that has no abilities at this level, but is a great tank unit for 4 mana.

In the second position I chose Luminous Eagle, which thanks to having the Reach ability, is able to attack from the second position. It also has the flying ability, so it has 25% chance to evade physical attacks from non-flying units.

In the third position is Battering Ram. I chose it because it only costs 2 mana, and can attack from any position thanks to its Opportunity ability; when in the backline, it will prioritize attacking the enemy unit with the lowest health.

In the fourth position is the elf, Lunakari Mistress. She has the Oppress ability, so when attacking units with no attack, she will deal double damage.

In the fifth and last position is Light Elemental, which, like its ally Luminious Eagle, possesses the flying ability.

This card is really good, as it only cots 4 mana and has 2 magic attack power at level 2; one of my most used and favorite units from the untamed set.

Battle

In the first round, Luminous Eagle defeats the enemy, Ant Miners. Then, my golden Battering Ram, defeats the enemy Ram. After that, Lunakari Mistress defeats Halfling Alchemist.

In the second round, the enemy Spark Pixies perform a double kill by first defeating my Crystal Jaguar, and then Luminous Eagle, the latter being defeating by the blast effect. After that, my Lunakari Mistress defeats the Goblin Fireballer.

In the third round, no unit was defeated, but in the fourth round, my Battering Ram is defeated by Spark Pixies. Then, my Light Elemental defeats the Pyromancer, and finally my Lunakari Mistress ends the battle by defeating Spark Pixies.

This time my strategy with Lorna Shine worked very well against the aggresive Yodin Zaku, who granted the blast ability to all his summoned units, allowing them to deal 50% of their damage to the adjacent target units.

I really enjoy playing these kinds of wild tournaments where I can use my untamed and my azmare dice cards, the latter being the special miniset of untamed. I used to play them a lot in ranked games when the modern and wild formats didn't exist yet. These cards are simply really good and every time I play them I can't help but feel nostalgic.

Splinterlands is amazing and keeps getting better every year, especially last year with many new updates, such as frontier mode and avatars. I can't wait to see how Splinterlands surprises us this year.
