Splinterlands Weekly Challenge — Equalizer Ruleset
Hello everyone, I'm back with a new post for the Splinterlands Weekly Challenge!
There are less than 24 hours left for the EOS (End of Season). I hope you get great reward cards.
The theme of the week is the amazing Equalizer ruleset.
Let's get started:
When the Earthquake ruleset is active, remember that all monsters will have the same Health as the Monster with the highest Health on the battlefield.
Equalizer: |
---|
The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. |
I love the Earthquake ruleset because it makes an extreme change to the health of monsters and you know there will be interesting battles, you can't always see a 🐔 Chicken with 12 Health 😎.
In battles with a low mana cap, if possible try to use as many monsters as possible so that they benefit from this ruleset.
Monsters with low original health that have the Shield, Void ability will be tougher.
As always, except when the Healed Out ruleset is in play, the Heal, Tank Heal, and
Triage abilities will be useful in restoring the health of monsters so they are not easy to defeat.
Monsters with ⚔ high damage but high mana requirements can be replaced with monsters with low original health and/or more armor but the same attack damage.
For example:
Dhampir Stalker | Soul Strangler |
---|---|
Instead of playing Dhampir Stalker, which costs 7 mana, the best option with this ruleset is Soul Strangler, which only costs 3 mana.
You're saving 4 Mana that you can use on other cards.
And you can make up for the lost speed by using a monster like Creeping Ooze(1Mana) that slows down all enemy monsters.
Little League | Equalizer |
Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles. | The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. |
ALRIC STORMBRINGER (Summoner)
Mana: 3 | Level: 3
Rarity: Rare | Edition: Alpha/Beta
All friendly Magic Attack Monsters have +1 Magic Attack.
With only 17 mana, I decided to use magic monsters, but since I can only use monsters with low mana cost, they won't be the strongest in terms of attack, so this summoner that gives them +1 attack will make them powerful on the battlefield.
TORRENT FIEND
Mana: 0 | Level: 1
Melee: 1 Speed: 2 Health: 1
Rarity: Legendary | Edition: Chaos
Although it doesn't have any abilities at level 1, this legendary unit is always useful because it costs no mana and with the Equalizer ruleset it will have more health than it normally would. Acting as bait in the front line, so that my magic monsters can attack without problem.
BATTERING RAM
Mana: 2 | ★ Level: 3
Melee: 1 Speed: 3 Health: 1
Rarity: Common | Edition: Dice
In the second position, I tried to use a water/neutral magic monster with 2 mana or less, but there was no other except Ice Pixie that I used in the last position, so I chose this Ram because it's melee and has the Opportunity ability to attack in any position, but it's actually a bait too :P
SPIRIT HOARDER
Mana: 3 | ★ Level: 1
Magic: 1 Speed: 1 Health: 3
Rarity: Legendary | Edition: Chaos
In third position, this spirit will be the first of my magic monsters on the battlefield, it only does 1 damage but thanks to Alric it will have 2 magic damage and has a special ability: Triage that will heal the backline monster that has taken the most damage each turn.
ENCHANTED PIXIE
Mana: 3 | ★ Level: 2
Magic: 1 Speed: 2 Health: 2
Rarity: Rare | Edition: Beta
In fourth position, I chose this pixie because it is one of the magic monsters that has a low mana cost and thanks to Alric it will also have 2 magic damage. In addition, it has the Flying ability with a 25% chance to evade melee or ranged attacks from non-flying monsters.
CORAL WRAITH
Mana: 4 | Level: 2
Magic: 2 Speed: 3 Health: 3
Rarity: Epic | Edition: Untamed
In fifth position, I chose this wraith because it has the Sneak ability that allows it to attack the last monster on the enemy team. In case the enemy wanted to use tank healer monsters in the back line, Coral Wraith will destroy them.
ICE PIXIE
Mana: 2 | Level: 2
Magic: 1 Speed: 3 Health: 2
Rarity: Rare | Edition: Untamed
In last position, the last pixie in my lineup and the only magic water monster that costs 2 mana, and will also have 2 magic damage thanks to Alric. It is in the last row because it has the Flying ability, in case the enemy uses some melee or ranged Sneak monsters, hopefully this pixie can evade some attacks from non-flying monsters.
- All magic monsters on the battlefield gain Attack thanks to the ability of the summoners: Alric Stormbringer and Obsidian.
Round 1:
Furious Chicken is the first on the battlefield to defeat a monster: ☠️Torrent Fiend.
Round 2
Coral Wraith eliminates ☠️Mycelic Morphoid.
_________ Ice Pixie destroys ☠️Furious Chicken.
Round 3:
Wood Nymph defeats ☠️Battering Ram.
Round 4:
☠️Halfling Alchemist is the next victim of Coral Wraith.
__________Ice Pixie takes ☠️Earth Elemental out of the battle.
__________Goblin Sorcerer kills ☠️Ice Pixie.
Round 6:
Coral Wraith is on a killing spree by defeating ☠️Goblin Sorcerer.
__________Wood Nymph heals herself and destroys ☠️Spirit Hoarder.
Round 7:
Coral Wraith ends the battle by destroying ☠️Wood Nymph with a deadly magic attack.
MVP
Coral Wraith with a 4 kill streak.
CONCLUSION of the BATTLE:
Due to the Earthquake rules, all monsters started the battle with 6 HP thanks to Earth Elemental Health.
In this battle, my opponent and I played a Sneak magic monster with the same attack stats, but Coral Wraith was able to destroy the last position enemy monsters faster because my Spirit Hoarder healed the monster that Goblin Sorcerer was attacking every round.
With more magic monsters than my opponent and more magic damage with Alric's help, my team managed to emerge victorious.
