Welcome everyone👋, I'm back again with a new post for the Splinterlands BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!

Ferocity:
All Monsters have the Fury ability.

Each week there is a new ruleset for this challenge, this time it's the Ferocity ruleset, as the description says, all monsters will have the Fury ability, but what does it do?
Simply that all monsters on the battlefield will deal double damage to monsters with the Taunt (enemy monsters will target this monster) ability, so it's best in battles with this ruleset not to use those cards.

Some curiosities with the name of this ruleset: there is a card in MTG with the same name.
There is also a book called Ferocity, which is about a giant muskie that eats people in Mullet Lake.

At the moment, there are only 12 Taunt monsters that we shouldn't use when the Ferocity ruleset is active:

Fire		Water

Earth		Life

Death		Dragon	Neutral

ALRIC STORMBRINGER

All friendly Magic Attack Monsters have +1 Magic Attack.

In this battle, I decided to play a lot of magic monsters, so this summoner: Alric will increases his allies' magic attacks by +1, allowing them to deal a little more damage.

BAAKJIRA

Speed: 2 | Health: 11
Rarity: Legendary | Edition: Chaos

In first position, this whale monster will be my main tank monster, it has a lot of HP and will reduce the damage it takes from magic attacks thanks to its Void ability. In addition, it has the Slow ability that reduces the Speed by -1 of all enemy monsters while this monster is on the battlefield.

DJINN OSHANNUS

Mana: 8 | Level: 1
Magic: 2 | Speed: 5 | Health: 10
Rarity: Legendary | Edition: ChaosR

In second position, this djinn monster will my second tank monster thanks to its high HP, and like the whale monster it also has the Void ability. But unlike the whale, it can attack, which is why it's in the second row.

MEDUSA

Mana: 4 | Level: 4
Magic: 1 | Speed: 2 | Health: 5
Rarity: Rare | Edition: Alpha/Beta

In third position, this medusa monster only deals 1 damage but has 50% chance to stun the enemy it attacks, causing it to skip its next turn thanks to its Stun ability.

VENARI WAVESMITH

Rarity: Rare | Edition: ChaosR

In fourth position, to defend my monsters a little bit, this unit will give all its allies, including itself, +2 armor while staying in the battle thanks to its Protect ability.

RIVERBOAT CAPTAIN

Mana: 6 | Level: 2
Magic: 2 | Speed: 2 | Health: 4
Rarity: Rare | Edition: ChaosR

In fifth position, this captain is one of the best soul-bound water cards available. He will deal additional damage to monsters adjacent to the target monster (additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) thanks to his Blast ability.

PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS

Mana: 10 | Level: 1
Magic: 3 | Speed: 6 | Health: 7
Rarity: Legendary | Edition: Untamed

Finally, in the last position, this legendary phantom is very difficult to defeat by ranged and melee attacks, since it has the Dodge ability, increasing the probability of evading these types of attacks by 25%, and if attacked by non-flying monsters, it also has an additional 25% chance to evade them thanks to its Flying ability.

• My magic monsters gain Magic attack ,thanks to Alric Stormbringer's ability. Also, all my monsters gain +2 armor thanks to Venari Wavesmith's Protect ability.
• Ranged enemy monsters get Ranged attack, all enemy monsters gain Health and the Blast ability thanks to Zaku's ability.
  Also, all enemy monsters lose -1 Speed due to Baakjira's Slow ability.

Round 1: Medusa defeats Enemy☠️Chain golem.

Round 2: Djinn Oshannus destroys Enemy☠️Chimney Wallstop.
-Venari Wavesmith eliminates Enemy☠️Naga Fire Wizard.
-Enemy☠️Halfling Alchemist is defeated by Riverboat Captain's Blast ability.

Round 3: Phantom of the Abyss destroys ☠️Fire Demon.
-Finally, Venari Wavesmith ends the battle by defeating ☠️Lava Spider.

CONCLUSION

Since neither my opponent nor I used Taunt monsters, the Ferocity ability didn't work this time. As in this battle, we should avoid using the Taunt ability when the Ferocity ruleset is active, except in certain circumstances where we have no choice but to play them.

This battle ended very quickly due to the high magic damage my monsters had, and the enemy didn't use any abilities to reduce my magic attack or defend against it, so their monsters were easily defeated.
