Splinterlands - Winning with Orella Abadon in a Champion battle

Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. This time I will show you a battle where I was able to use a gladiator unit thanks that the "Are you not Entertained" modifier being active. This is a rank battle in the modern format.

In this battle, the Brute Force modifier is also active, allowing units with the highest power attack first, and there is also the Counterspell ability, so all units will have the Magic Reflect ability, which returns 50% of the damage they deal. The mana limit is only 14, but both my opponent and I managed to summon six units.

This time, I used the dragon archon Akane, which allows me to grant the Ambush ability to two units, so I granted it to my gladiator and my unit in the last position.

In the first position is Halfling Refugee, currently the best 1 mana unit; just look at its stats, they are incredible high, so I summoned him in almost every battle.

In the second position is Ironwing Juggernaut, a really good card for only 3 mana. It can attack from any position, and never misses its attacks. And magic attacks will damage its armor first.

In the third position is Surly Drunk, who will attack the enemy unit with the least health, since it has the Opportunity ability.

In the fourth position, I summoned the gladiator Orella Abadon, who attacks the enemy unit in the last position and has true strike attacks. And thanks to her bloodlust ability, she will gain +1 to all stats each time she defeats an enemy unit.

In the fifth position is Elanor Bravefoot, who doesn't cost mana, so why not.

And in the sixth and last position is Kha'zi Conjurer, a great unit with a ranged attack power of 6. He has the incendiary debilitation, but it's more than worth it.

Battle

In the first round, Kha'zi Conjurer defeats the enemy Halfling Refugee. Then, Orella Abadon defeats the enemy orc, Gorvash The Pallid. After that, the enemy Albahoo Forester defeats my Halfling Refugee.

In the second round, unfortunately my Elanor Bravefoot is defeated by the burning effect of Kha'zi Conjurer. Then, my Kha'zi Conjurer is defeated by the return fire ability of Albahoo. After that, Orella defeats the enemy Frigid Wolf. And Surly Drunk defeats Albahoo Forester.

In the fourth round, Moxian Rebel defeats my Ironwing Juggernaut, and in the fifth round my Surly Drunk is also defeated.

In the sixth round, Orella Abadon defeats the enemy Moxian Rebel, and finally in the seventh round, the gladiator, Helmet Kharafax is defeated, ending the battle.

In this battle, my opponent chose to play life units with the archon, ulund Bella, and summoned the gladiator Helmet Kharafax. It was an intense battle, as all the units were defeated before the gladiators.

In the end, I managed to win, as my Orella Abadon defeated many units and gained more stats, while the enemy gladiator, unfortunately, didn't defeat any, so his attack power was only 2. It was a nice battle that shows that importance of having gladiators not only for brawl battles, but also for ranked.
