RE: Why I paid $29.38 for the First Chaos Legion Pack on the Market

I have to say that I'm completely shaken by how much the vouchers are going for... I thought they'd be overpriced at $4... and so wasn't expecting $24 at all.

I totally get there is a novelty factor in getting vouchers at this price, but I'm not sure how much economic sense it makes. I think it all comes down to how good Dr Blight is going to be and how much it might sell for after the presale.

What do we know about Dr Blight so far? I think I heard that it might be a neutral card or it might be a summoner? Anything else?

Anyway, congrats on getting the first pack on Hive! Well done!

Ahhhhh yess... Dr. Blight... Perhaps that should be my next blog post! ;) I've heard the same, although they took away summoner later saying it's neutral so very interesting. :)

I'd love to see that in your next blog post. Okay, so probably neutral... would you happened to have heard anything about it being a legendary or epic?

My guess is having Dr. Blight in your team will make others stronger or have more blight type abilities.

That definitely makes sense. I'm trying to figure out what might be a comparable card that's out at the moment to see if Dr Blight is worth trying to get airdropped, or just purchased after release...

1 million packs / 50 = at least 20,000 normal promo
1 million packs / 1000 = at least 1000 gold foil promo
Similar Mermaid Healer = 17,862 printed. $50 normal and $1000 gold...

Or maybe more like Hero of Beyond? It had 16,309 printed, between $12 and $15 for normal and $320ish for gold foil.

Unless Dr Blight is a legendary, like Djinn Oshannus (17,045 printed) $50 normal, $582 gold)...

I'm trying to figure out at what point the vouchers are too expensive for any non-emotional purchases, where you can just buy all the perks for cheaper.
