Splinterlands Weekly Challenge - Spineback Turtle

Hey everyone!

Some intro…
Welcome! I hope you are all having a good beginning this season, and year. My season started great; my season rewards are trash, cause my chests have Bronze quality, but my first three days fighting were great. I started with 300 rating points (Bronze III), and after around 75 battles (I tend to fight around 25 battles per day), I am 1683 (Silver I), at the moment that I’m writing this.

This fast ascension was thanks to a solid Earth deck, with high level cards (max cap for Bronze), focused in countering magic, rented of course, and a strong Fire deck, also with high level cards, with Yodin Zaku as it’s summoner, also rented. I won so many battles that I exceeded 54% of my win rate, so, great beginning.
Now… the Challenge

(Edit: this first two paragraphs were written some days ago, now i’m in Gold League)

About the cards used
This Challenge was done fighting in Gold III. Because I was in Silver, and I wanted to do this Challenge, and also keep winning, I rented a level 4 Kelya Frendul; at this level she allows me to summon Commons at level 5, Rares at level 4, Epics at level 3, and Legendaries at level 2, which would be the maximum capacity level for the Silver League.
About the Spineback Turtle
Used to be useful before Chaos Legion as a cheap tank to protect your Magic Monsters, so I’m quite familiarized with it, but after the new edition, I stop using it. I considered doing a Challenge with a different Monster, because I thought I was not going to be able to use it in Silver League; however I rented the card at level 5 in it’s Alpha version and it proved to be useful both in Silver and Gold. At level 5 this Monster gains Thorns and +1 Melee/+1 Armor.
Battle #1
Ruleset:
Equalizer: The Initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 mana or less may be used in battles. Earth Splinter not allowed. Mana cap: 40.
Lineup & Analysis

Lineup 1.png

Well… this is the first time I use the Amplify effect and considering my opponent had three Melee attackers it was the right call. Not to much to say here, I won thanks to my effects, especially the one debuffing Ranged attacks. Battle Link

Battle #2
Ruleset:
Fog of War: Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities. Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners. Mana cap: 42. Fire Splinter not allowed.
Lineup & Analysis

Lineup 2.png

Again, although my opponent here had a quite strong lineup, the right effect, Headwings, made me win the battle. Battle Link

Battle #3
Ruleset:
Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles. Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 mana or less may be used in battles. Mana cap: 24. Only Fire and Water Splinters allowed.
Lineup & Analysis

Lineup 3.png

Here, healing and repairing Armor made the Turtle hold, while the rest of the team took out the enemy lineup. Battle Link

That would be all guys, sorry for the short battle analysis, I just don’t find this fights as exciting as the ones in my last post.

Thanks for stopping by!!
