An Ode to: Archmage
I don't normally post too much, concerning Battle Reports, but the absolute Genius of this team- set up by the Archamge bot, just struck me as TOO GOOD!
You'll notice that this is an 'Earthquake' ruleset Battle.
While both teams 'feature' 3 Flyers- including Pelacor Mercenaries as tanks- the KEY to this Battle is that Archmage recognized this and included two (2) minions with Snare! Talk about meta!
Also, using the L3 Quix- Brilliant!
The -1S/-1R hit the opposing team, hard. Negating the Supply Runner and reducing Attack on 3 of their minions- so good (too good?)
As predicted- the Headhunter hit early- dropping the PelMercs armor (and causing some damage- Piercing) and removing Flying.
Going last- the Sand Worm (auto) hit that Peryton in the back- nearly killing it and ALSO removing Flying.
Then, at the end of Round 1- Earthquake hits both their PelMerc AND the Peryton.
And let's not ignore the POWER of both the Carnage Titan and Chaos Dragon.
Reach, Double-Strike, and Shield- the Titan unleashed some PAIN on the other team, while the Chaos Dragon:
Scattershot, Blast!
He dropped some BOMBS in the back line, allowing the rest of the team to make short work of the opposing line-up.
The Battle didn't make it to the end of Round 3- the Sand Worm finished off the last member of opposing team (GargDevil) before it could get hit by Earthquake.
Also, of some interest is the reason I was checking this Battle out- in the first place:
In G1/Modern I was Earning 0.4 SPS/win.
In this Battle (D3/Modern) I won 0.418 SPS
Another, minor detail: they were fielding a L8 Obsidian as opposed to by L3 Quix- allowing them to field their L10 PelMerc, Psychic, and Supply Runner.

great post! 💪 headhunter and sandworm are assassins already, but even better in earthquake to take away flying. i'm still not sure why SPS rewards in wild are so much higher right now (as you note in your post above) but ive been told by people smarter than me that this will change next season. what do you think about sps rewards in wild vs modern, and why are they so different right now?
Rewards are 'higher' in the Format with the fewest accounts playing in it.
For the first couple of Seasons- Earnings were much, much higher in Modern than they were in Wild. This was because the bots had not, yet, migrated to Modern.
Now? The Great Bot Migration has occurred and there are many, many more accounts playing in Modern than there are playing in Wild.
I do agree though, next Season- after the Earnings tiering takes full effect, the Earnings in the higher Leagues of Modern should be WAY higher- given the relative paucity of accounts playing in D+, in Modern
