How to: Play to earn in the new Game Economy

Brief Outine of Game Economy Changes

The Post describing all the changes to the Game Economy and Rewards was TLDR, right? There were a lot of changes and, well, some illustrations of the changes that may or may not have really applied to your situation.

Here's the passage in the post that I am going to focus in on:
"DEC rewards given out for a ranked battle win will be based on the minimum of the winning player's current rating and the maximum rating for their current league" (emphasis mine)
This may seem a little confusing but here's how it plays out, in game:

If your current League/Tier is Bronze III- then the highest rating you can be paid out on is 399. That's it- your rating, for earnings purposes, is 399 or less.

The old system? Where you had 248 Power and 2,000 rating and made 15 DEC/dattle?
Doesn't work anymore- if your Power is < 1K, you're making 2 DEC/Battle or less. Even if you get your Power up to 1,000+? your rating, for earnings purposes, can never be above 699. Rating 2,400? 4,999 Power? FANTASTIC! You get 5 DEC/win.

Does this mean that #Play3Earn is dead? Absolutely not, in fact, for Players, the earnings potential in #Splinterlands has multiplied!

The 'Sweet Spot' for earnings is Tier I, in each League- Bronze I, Silver I, Gold I. The earnings/win is so high and ECR is so important- you have to make each game COUNT!

Let's Focus on Bronze League

Let's face it: The builds/decks are simpler. The Rulesets are simpler. and, as long as you're in Bronze I, the earnings are GOOD!
The only, real, barrier to entry to Bronze I? 5K Power. The same, basic decks work:
Alric/Magic, Mylor/Seer/Nymph, Blort/Cow/Ranged, etc.
So, once you get to 700+ rating- RENT UP! It's cheap. It's easy. It works.
on PeakMonsters, right now, you can rent 1,000 Power for 3 DEC or less.
Rent a Gold Foil Wood Nymph (400 Power/DEC), Highland Archer (375 Power/DEC)- any low mana cost, Neutral or Splinter appropriate card for your deck and you can not only increase your earnings- you can Multiply It!
But here's the simple fact: Playable, not playable- it doesn't matter. Spend the 15 DEC/day for 5K Power and your earnings/win will go from 2 to 20, instantly.

I did it and it worked. Then, I rented Gold Foil versions of cards I used or could slip into builds pretty easy- and I was making 20+ DEC/win. In BRONZE.

Yeah, I made a decision to move to silver on my main account and it was worth it. The rental cost is relatively cheap for the 6K in power I needed. The extra DEC and 2 loot chests a day should be able to more than compensate for the rental pay. If renting on the last day is too stressful or expensive, I will probably just let my team go back to bronze I for the day. The two bonus chests for season end in silver might not be worth the hassle of renting on season end date.

Yes, rents are still relatively cheap- especially considering the extra DEC from winnings.
The thing about the chests, in particular, is this:
In Bronze, your one chest? 45% of the time it's Credits. not even Pots, not even DEC- just a few 1/10ths of cents- not even worth opening.
In Silver- 50% of your chests are cards- and they are rising in price FAST!

As for Season End, I predict:
It won't be near as crazy as it has been in the past.
Mostly because a lot of players, like you, are already renting enough Power and won't need to "Rent up" on the last day.
Also, I like to Rent up a little 'extra' Power, the day before EOS- so I have a buffer, in case something gets cancelled.

ECR is "Energy Conversion Rate"
It's the amount of your earnings/win that you actually GET.
If your ECR is 100 and you earn 20 DEC- you get 20 DEC
If your ECR is 80 and you earn 20 DEC- you get 16 DEC
.....
If your ECR is 5 and you earn 20 DEC- you get 5.
If you 'hover' over your DEC balance- it will show you your ECR, like, "98.38"
