Splinterlands Strategy, is SPS currently undervalued? Is DEC currently over valued?

Hey guys! This is my first post on the hive block chain, I am going to try and start posting once a day here under different daily topics. Today I want to talk about SPS vs DEC

Introduction:
Where to begin.... Splinterlands is vast and there are so many different markets and games within the game. From deciding whether to rent or buy, which cards to buy and why, to buy and hold SPS or DEC? The questions can flow in a variety of streams and each answer depends on where you currently are in your splinterlands journey. For me I am currently a silver 1 player, I can reach gold 3 with my own power, but find it more profitable to rent out my cards during the end of the season and stay in silver. This and I yet to have a maxed gold deck, one of early strategies was to buy cards for power so I could avoid renting as I plan on playing this game for years to come. The quicker you can buy your way to where you want to be, the more your rewards will grow and compound as you can spend them on more cards and assets instead of renting.

Should I buy SPS or DEC?

To me, currently SPS is the most under appreciated asset in the game. The CEO's Aggro and Matt have consistently stated that "all the cool things" that are going to be introduced in the future are going to be centered around SPS and having it staked. If you missed out on joining before the card market skyrocketed, now is an opportunity to get in on SPS at a relatively cheap rate to what it will be years down the road. When the new format is released you are going to start earning SPS per win based off the amount of SPS you currently have staked, this IMO is a huge catalyst and when the common player realizes this they are going to purchase and stake SPS causing the price to rise. As more utility gets added to SPS those who have large amount are going to hold theirs, stabilizing the price and creating an upward trend. I see SPS dropping until December 8th, when vouchers are re enacted and it once again gains another utility. Furthermore, vouchers are staying after December 8th, INDEFINITELY. They will be dropping 20k a day everyday after the Second CL presale for the foreseeable future. This on top of the current 48% return on the year is why SPS is the best buy. Buy, stake, claim your free SPS, restake, and it compounds while you wait for the price to rise in the next few months. Staking SPS and having that directly correlated with your earning potential will also taper bots, or at the very least force the bot owners to contribute x amount of SPS to each account to maintain profitability, this is again a bullish signal for SPS.

Why I think DEC is Over Valued

DEC is the stable coin of Splinterlands, it is currently about 10x its original pegged value at .001 (currently hovering at about .01) The only reason for this sky rocket in price is that people have been holding theirs tightly for the airdrop rewards which does give a nice return of over 100% in SPS. So why not buy DEC instead of SPS if it gives a better yearly return? In my opinion the price as the airdrop gets closer to its end will slowly deflate. The coin is designed to be at .001 and the creators never saw this coming when they created the airdrop. It has caused other problems in the economy where DEC was attached, such as guilds being an outrageous 4k to purchase. The only utility it has is associated with the airdrop, it will not provide any further rewards when that finishes up in 230 days. In the short to medium term, I think you can be rewarded well for holding SPS for the next 100-150 days, but if the price crashes on you there is a chance that any SPS rewards you gained while holding wont match the price drop if its volatile. I dont see DEC returning to these prices once the airdrop is over, so to me this risk of holding large amount of DEC for the airdrops is far too high.

Disclaimer none of this is financial advice

My current holdings:
75% SPS
20% cards
5% DEC

What do you guys think about SPS vs DEC when looking long term (1 year+) What is your current % of holdings in each asset and why?
