Why I Think Choas Legion Is Already Priced In To Current Card Values

avatar

Hear me out for a short second. All I have read and all I have seen on youtube is "wait for chaos legion to buy cards". If this is the strategy adopted by the majority of the community then wouldn't that lead to a decrease in demand and naturally a decrease in current card value? I know chaos legion will be printing out millions of cards after December 8th, but I do think that some of that has already been priced in due to the consensus to hold your resources until then, or even save it for packs. All across the market, especially with the current reward cards we have seen a dip of 15-20%. I am treating like this a buy opportunity. I snagged a few more Djinn Oshannus and will continue to rent them at 100% yearly return, this time next year I will have paid for the initial cost of them and get a maxed Djinn for free or continue to keep them at level 1 to rent. What do you guys think about the state of the current market? Will chaos lead to bullish or bearish signals in the next 3 months? As always this is not financial advice Good luck on your splinterlands journey, see you in the arena!!!

I'm wondering the same. I just started playing the game last week and card prices have been prohibitively expensive. So I'm just buying the Chaos rewards cards because I can actually afford them. The supply limit is public, so I'm assuming they'll climb in price eventually like the other sets, and that people are just dumping them now because the price of packs is fixed/limited and relatively low compared to card values. If the utility of two cards is equal in the game then I'd imagine their price will start to converge in the long run.

Yessir. Patience is key with the rewards cards. Basically every card I own is a reward card lol. What rank are you currently?

I'm in bronze II, but my rating is 1100 (I cannot ascend because I don't have the card power to yet).
