I consider myself a part of the League of Verico. For those who does not know, the League of Verico is a secret organization in the Splinterlands lore, specifically tied to the land expansion narrative of Praetoria. Basically a cartel or a CABAL! There you have it, you know how much I like a cartel! It was formed by land-owning battle mages to protect Praetoria and conceal the extraordinary powers of Castles and Keeps from outsiders. Membership is exclusive to battle mages who hold significant land stakes in Praetoria, and the organization operates under three core tenets: dedication to the cause, contribution to the cause, and loyalty through action.
Following is from the Conclave Arcana pre-sale post. I don't know about you, but this make the hair at the back of my neck rise and I am full of excitement on the pre-sale.
The Chaos Empire has fallen, but the fate of the Splinterlands is far from decided.
As Praetoria’s splinters struggle to rebuild, Archmage Portia Nyr makes her move. She and her Conclave Arcana seek the fabled secret of Praetoria, scouring the land for its scattered fragments. Power like that can’t be left untapped—not when the world is still ripe for the taking.
Kelan Gaines, a Mothrook Goathelm spy, uncovers Portia’s plan and sounds the alarm. But the kingdoms and empires of Praetoria were fractured by the rebellion, their leaders too busy restoring order to act.
The Riftwatchers turn to the League of Verico and its battle mage allies. That’s where you come in. It’s up to you to help the splinters of Praetoria stop Portia before her dark ambitions reshape the Splinterlands forever.

Well, I am! I am up to the challenge! I have started buying.
Current Status
The pre-sale started yesterday, and still there is 17+ plus days left. This time around, there is no advantage of getting in early, as long as the purchase with within the 20 day pre-sale window. So the only risk for waiting for the last moment is the fear that packs will run out. As of now, I don't see that danger. But still I purchase some just to get the process started.
As of now, with little more than a day of sales, this is the current status of the pack sale.

If it keeps going like this Alchemy packs might run out... Like you said there is no benefit in buying early this time around so people might be waiting until last minute to snipe out titles or the right to design a summoner and the most desirable packs might be gone at that time.
That always happens. During Rebellion, the first six spots were decided at the last minute of the pre-sale.
I think there is still some confusion about the pack variants and what they represent, I want to buy the pre sale, but stand paralyzed on deciding what packs to get.

Congrats on diving in. I had a bit of a back and forth about it, but I decided to hold onto my Hive. It will be interesting to see if prices eventually come down like they have on all the other packs.

I don't care about Rebellion really. I hardly bought any of those. I care more about rift watchers and chaos legion since I am sitting on hundreds of those packs.
It’s always market timing if you buy the packs as investment. Sometimes you will get lucky, sometimes you won’t.
I buy the packs as a player. I play everyday. So to me each pack is worth it as they have given me countless hours of enjoyment and continue to deliver
I get that, but if I am going to spend money on something for enjoyment it will probably be far less than what I have put into Splinterlands or at the very least something that gets me out of the house and is more exciting!

I'm just getting more insight into the game, it's looking more realistic than what I thought about it, I can't say I have experience it all but ran out of time in getting to the range.
I hope time stays closer to me to push the button up u making my target.
There is no rush. Pace you own move at whichever speed you prefer.
