Why I do not stake SPS for vouchers (Chaos Legion card sets)
I have just started with Splinterlands and I love it ! Not just the game play but also the different ways you can earn tokens.
So I wanted to buy Chaos Legion packs but discovered you need vouchers in order to do so. You can obtain vouchers by staking SPS or buy them on the market (Hive-engine). I wondered how much I would have to stake to get 1 voucher so I could at least buy 1 Chaos Legion card set.
At the moment I write this, October 31st, the number of staked SPS amounts to 166,149,996. For the next 17 days until November 17th every day 33,333.333 vouchers will be awarded to all players who have staked SPS.
From my calculations I came to the conclusion that you have to stake around 294 SPS for the coming 17 days in order to get 1 single voucher (166,149,996 total staked SPS / 33,333.333 vouchers / 17 days = ~ 294 SPS)
In fiat money that is about $ 170,- That is way too much money for me
I think I just wait until the pre-sale period has ended and I can buy Chaos Legion card sets without vouchers. I hope they will not sell out immediatly. I will however loose out on all the extras from the per-sale. Am I wrong in thinking that the pre-sale has become too expensive ?
