Some long-awaited buys...

So I've been on hive for just over 6 months now, and I've been investing in Hive or SPS for a little longer.
A lot has happened in that time, I played a lot of Splinterlands and started my own Guild there, I posted a good handful of blogs so far I think, I have a community page with some regular posters on hiveblog and I've even managed to get a few people from my personal life onto the blockchain as well.

Meanwhile, shortly after diving into the chain, I had some financial struggles, among other things

This prevented me from really having some of the things I had been wanting to invest in. Such as a Splinterlands PLOT or Land. Until the last month or so...

A Big Step...

Over the last few weeks, I've managed to get a good bit of money together and make some purchases with the long term in mind. I managed to stake a handful of SPT, PIZZA, LEO, ONEUP, BEE and POB and add some liquidity to pools, as well as purchase CARTEL, a good deal of cards in Splinterlands, a Plot, and a Totem.

So far, things have went well, I happened to make most of my buys on the recent dip which worked well, plus I have some capital leftover. Also lots of plans in store. I can't really explain how I've felt the last couple weeks other than I feel like this is my second big step into the blockchain

To finish things off on my "shopping spree" so to speak, I wanted to participate in the #HivePUD and also the Power Up Day Helper. I have wanted to participate for a while but the timing is either bad, or I forget. So here I am today, not forgetting.

I'm powering up my loyal guild member @curtis90 with 10HP. He posts literally every day reporting his daily quest earnings and 5 battles on Splinterlands. Dedicated with no end in sight, Curtis90 is an inspiration in some ways and I'm happy to help him on his journey.

Thinking about HIVE...

I think that Hive has a lot of potential, and the layer 2 tokens here are actually very interesting and well thought out for the most part. I look forward to the future as I see many passionate and intelligent people posting here every day. I see heads collide fairly often now that I'm active here a lot, but I'd be more afraid to not to see people discuss topics and disagree. Personally, while I want everything I invest in to go well as anyone does, I feel that same-minded "to the moon" communities are a danger to themselves. Something I like to see on Hive and the projects here is talk from varying sides, bears and bulls, haters and believers, etc...I'm sure it isn't perfect, I know it isn't perfect, but it's a good balance. Plus, I like thought-provoking reads anyway.

That all aside, I'm most excited for some different updates planned for Splinterlands this year. While Blockchain gaming isn't all I care about, it's certainly a big part of my investment plan and also something I genuinely enjoy. The purchase of a PLOT was a big buy for me, and I'm excited to utilize that in the future. For now, the SPS Airdrop points are very nice.
