It's a bit different from Samdoesart? Cuz I follow that too and although the palette is vibrant and pretty close, there's a lot of you and it's cool

Yes I hope it's different XD. I don't want people saying that my work is a copy of his haha. I only take some inspirations from him that's all. That guy knows how to draw cute girls really well. His lineart has that 'flow' while drawing anatomy. I'm trying to understand how to works. I'm pretty sure he explains that in his patreon. Well it sucks to be poor sometimes 🤪.

I say... There's reddit for that 🤣🤣🤣 or maybe some underground tumblrs that offer to share links. Cuz I remember doing that for peterhan style before when I was still learning ink sketching.
What I'm trying to get from him is the lighting tbh. Also trying to follow phillipsuearts cuz I need to learn how to digitally draw environments and not make it look flat?

Dang I follow Philip too XD. It's too bad he only shares his mountain texture brush in patreon.

Yes, Sam's portraits has excellent lighting. He always choose references which are well lit. Dude really mastered colour theory.

I think you can just custom brushes if you have cps or like... Get a rough oil or acrylic brush and modify brush properties on some apps. I tried that in medibang. It works sometimes

This is a sign to learn color theory, boi
And I need to review mine

Ibis have option to import 3rd party brushes but I did search for it online but didn't found any like that.

I don't really know how to play with the brush settings on Ibis. There is too much of that and it's confusing lolz.

As for colour theory I have some understanding of it now. We can't really compare our skills with people like sam who went to art school most of his life. They are groomed to be that way plus I don't even have the gear lolz. It's very hard for me to draw and paint hair. Sometimes I don't get that natural strokes with fingers. It's annoying XD.

Didn't know ibis could do that. That's pretty interesting UwU I still haven't learned ibis properly ughhh. I'll try looking into brush customization when I have time. Maybe I can find something there with more texture

Well true. But practice can still take you a step forward since art school is just a guide. Repetition makes the artist, not the classes or the school background. But you definitely need to look into getting tools soon

Yes repetition and practice does make great improvements over time. It's just that I don't have much base with art lolz. I study with the bread crumbs they leave in their YouTube channels. Everyone seems to be moving towards patreon to monetize. Their YouTube videos have only like 1% useful content these days. The rest are only available on patreon and I kinda need that to improve XD.

I did have you the blending brush for Ibis though. I thought you know about the import option. The only thing I dislike about Ibis is that the lineart cracks even when the canvas is at 3k resolution XD. Their anti aliasing is not that great.
