Introduction

This week i will be writing a small post about the 1 click rentals.
This is one of the latest releases of splinterlands.
I will share my opinions and thoughts.

Its not my intention to write a complete detailed report on how to use it. This is already done by the support team of splinterland 👏.

First thoughts on this release

I think its a major step forward for new players, you can come in and rent a decent deck for 135 dec (0.089$) or 89 credits. That is not a lot to start with. When you have purchased a spellbook you have received 3000 credits so you can rent and start playing at starting level bronze immediately.

When you rent rent a deck you will pay for the total of 15 days one complete season.

• With 7 or more days left in the season, Season Rentals will be active from the time of rental until the end of the current season, at which point they can be canceled.
• With fewer than 7 days left in the season, Season Rentals will remain active through the end of the current season, and through the end of the next season.

For now there are only start bronze level decks available but i can imagine that in the near future this will be expanded with silver/gold/diamond decks for new players with a bigger budget or competitive style.

IF you are already a bit familiar you can also rent complete decks at peakmonster. For now this is cheaper but more work to manage example for complete chaos legion bonze level deck for one season for 14 DEC link to the deck

Will i use the new functionality

For now i will probably not be using it any time soon. My main playing deck has maxed out chaos legion deck and for my alt its doing fine with the current bronze/silver level cards.

Then i looked if i could rent out a deck so with my third account where i place all my rental cards i tried creating a deck....

As you can see only 30 card out of the 136 some of them are gold or higher level than bronze but still missing a lot of cards. Mainly the legendaries are a problem I do not have any left over of those 🤣
I could combine a few more card so I could bring the number a bit higher but not near enough to complete it.

This one of the main draw backs that i see in this system you got to have them all or you cannot participate not sure how many have complete decks available.

Was hoping it just picked the cheapest unit of of the rental market. So as a use you should not have create a deck only tell this cards may be rented for longer for a seasonal renal period.

Conclusion

Nevertheless even if I'm not going to use it I hope there will be enough decks so new players have an simple option to rent and start finding out what the fun is about how deep and rich the strategy is of this game.

Hope in the near future to see more types of deck to be made/rented.

Splinterlands team is doing a great job slowly but steady adding value for players.
