Battle mage secret: FabFour

Introduction

This week one of the newer ruleset. FabFour Its a pretty straight forward rule set but still fun to design you team with only 4 units.

Great applause πŸ‘ for the team for introducing more rulesets. They mentioned in the town hall the goal is to have a new ruleset every months or so.

Ruleset

Up to four units can be used.

Abilities Synergies / Strategies

Giant Killer - A bit depending on the mana cap of the match. Most of the time i expect some higher cost unit

Avoid

There are no real avoids imho just try to use all mana.

Strategy

Medium to high mana match with only melee units and all have corrosive wards.
Lets see if i can bring a giant killer and some poison i known which of my favorites will be in the team again lux diemonshark and deeplurker lol

Rulesets

Up Close & Personal:
Only melee units may be selected

FabFour:
This week rule set only four unit can be selected.

Blood and Sunder:
All units will gain the corrosive ward ability. Meaning when hit with a Melee attack, unit does 2 armor damage to the attacker, and max armor of the attacker is reduced by 2.

Just because it my best summoner and the health and speed are crucial in this match to strike first with only 4 units on the battlefield.

Monsters Lineup

Diemonshark (lvl 8)
Strong tank that when it hit it can retaliate and will gain engage when health is reduced. This makes it a very strong unit in the up close and personal rule set.


Legionnaire Alvar (lvl 3)
In it gets in the front and there is a giant left it will do double damage against that unit. Also the demoralize in a up close and personal battle is very useful.


Deeplurker (lvl 10)
One of my best units with the poison opportunity and in this match the very important demoralize.


Pelacor Bandit (lvl 10)
High speed unit in the back with flying so when there are sneak unit i hope on some misses there.

Rounds


Start :

Lets analyze the battle field. My opponent has choose for a giant so the Legionnaire Alvar is a good choice did not expect it to be melee and magic unit that will hurt. hope i will do enough damage.
For the other units the melee damage is reduce by 2.


Round 1:

It hard to get trough Agor Longtail when i do i assume the match is for me. It is healing a lot but when Legionnaire Alvar it will do also 6 damage. I think its in my advantage Agor Longtail has taunt so I focued fire else it would have out heal me.
Also 2 misses on my Pelacor Bandit


Round 2:

Many misses this round one miss by me and 3 misses by my opponent. Here you see the importance of speed difference again.


Round 3:

That went quick Agor Longtail was killed by poison and diemonshark killed two in a row with the trample ability.
As expected Agor Longtail the match would swing my side.


Conclusion

I love splinterlands for releasing more and more ruleset this keeps it fresh and shift the meta slightly every time.
This is one of the easier rulesets, you just can only select 4 units still it changes the game up a bit.
I recall a year ago where there were months without any gaming updates.

Love to see the update of 2 April hope on more positive sentiment within the community πŸ˜‡
