End of Season 153 – The Calm Before the Storm
Season Summary
Season 153 felt like a quiet moment before big changes. But don’t be fooled—there’s a lot happening in the Splinterlands ecosystem.
🔥 Survival Mode just launched, bringing a fresh and competitive challenge.

📜 Conclave Arcana (CA) Presale is just around the corner—this next set will shake things up!
With all these updates, the next few months are going to be wild. But for now, let’s take a look at what I’ve been up to this season.
Hive Progress – KE Ratio Goal Achieved!
On the Hive side of things, I’ve been steadily growing my stake while keeping my KE Ratio in check. The goal was to get it below 3, and I finally hit it! 🎉
Next goal: KE Ratio of 2.
This will take more time, but patience and consistency are key. I’ll keep stacking and see how things progress!
SPS Validator – Setting Up My Node
For learning purposes, I decided to set up an SPS Validator Node. Instead of buying a server, I repurposed an old PC, stripped out the power-hungry parts, and installed Ubuntu Server on it.
Lessons Learned
Setting up the node was straightforward once I had the right snapshot.
I started too soon—spent 8 hours troubleshooting, only to realize the available snapshot wasn’t working correctly.
A new snapshot was released later, and the node was running in under an hour.
The trickiest part? Setting up the right environment variables and getting Nginx reverse proxy configured correctly.
In the future, I might migrate it to my NAS or test running it on a Raspberry Pi.
Also for now its running and collecting all the data, in the future i might balance that out with some retention period but time will tell.

Survival Mode – Early Season Battles
Technically, this is Season 154, but I jumped into Survival Mode manually before the bots take over.
💀 Losing hurts. I still need to adjust to the idea that defeated cards go on cooldown—it stings when key cards are out of commission.
🏆 Some wins, some losses. I’m experimenting with strategies, but it’ll take a few seasons to get used to the flow.
I’m curious to see how this mode evolves as players settle into their leagues and as bots enter the fray.
Rebellion Progress – Nearing the Finish Line!
Commons – Done!
Epics – Done!
Next Target: Rares → Legendaries
If my/my bot progress stays steady, I expect to complete my full Rebellion set in about 8 seasons. Fingers crossed! 🤞.
That might even be a moment where i can enjoy modern or wild playing manually without worrying that i will not complete the soulbound set.
Land update
I saw a nice deal for some well balanced plots in region 81 and i had to buy it, that was DEC reserved for CA, but is gone now :(
2 grain, 1 wood, 1 stone and 1 ore the complete package for land 1.75... It will not be enough for land 2.0 but will see then how it goes.
One or two of those grain plots where coming from you @captaindingus and the rest of @moriarty95.
I wanted to build it slow with one or two cards (preferable epic GF), failed, took to long and GF epics to expensive.
Just place maxed commons on it, for now, staked the DEC on the land, which is really hurting more than the land buy. So now i can forget that and move on 🤣.

They also created a ./install.sh that lead you trough the steps one by one.

Decided to take all my monsters off land and redistribute in preparation for 1.75, have a nice collection - more by luck than judgement - of 3 grain, 1 wood, 1 stone and 2 ore.

Why redistribute you workers?
It only matters now for the bonus that is already important since land 1.5.
I haven’t got them all up and running yet so needed to reorganise so that the grain is ready and then I’ll add to other lands as I can
