Introduction

Playing splinterlands now for about 6 months and really enjoying upgrading my deck and playing the game.
I joined an guild in januari/februari this year, Team Possible Bootcamp. Just to see how guilds are and because i did not have a great deck yet (still not) I did not play in a brawling guild.

Untill last week, I asked if i could join one of the brawling guilds of team possible to participate in brawls. So it became Team Possible Shield.
This week I entered my first brawl and let me share my experience in this post.

Reason why to join a guild that is competing in brawls

My main reasons to join such a guild:

1. I like to switch game modes between ranked/tournament and now also brawl.
   Every game mode brings a other view on how to use the cards especially with the gladius card into play
2. In the long run it will earn me some gladiator cards, that will help boost my CP :)
3. More interaction with the guild members.

For the first time to get used to the brawl system I joined the novice fray.

Battle 1 Win

Nice to see the shields of Queen Mycelia are helping enough so my healers can do there work. and the amount of torn damages is limited because i choose mainly magic monsters

Battle 2 Win

My first thoughts where not so sure i would win this battle. With there armor/thorns and sneak play. But eventually my monster hold long enough.

Battle 3 Win

In this battle the healer has helped me a lot. killing hist tank took a while.

Battle 4 Loss

The power of the shield. Did not expect that one. Nice selected living lava and my melee monster are not doing any damage and the only doing one damage is not enough for this battle.

Battle 5 Win (opponent fled)

Opponent fled so no battle.

Battle 6 Loss

Shields are useless here and with the +1 of Alric Stormbringer i don't stand a change.

Battle 7 Loss

Strange choice to pick magic here with the weak magic rule set, not sure what i was thinking here. Lava launcher taking the punches to the shield and killing all my monsters which makes the star of this battle.
Point noted, don't do that again especially with the low mana battle, big gamble that my opponent also chosing magic???

Battle 8 Loss

A Legendary gladius card and see what it can do. Killed my first two meat shields with one attack and gaining directly +1 stats from bloodlust. I also need to get some gladius cards. probably will take a while lol.

Battle 9 Win

Wow crazy battle first thoughts where instant loss. expesially with grum also having void armor my magic team will have a hard time.

Experience

Overall a nice experience, nice to see different cards (gladius) that are really strong. Happy with the end result. Most of the lost battles, I probable wouldn't have changed much about it, or i need to know what my opponent has selected :)
So my first 462 merits are in the pocket. A few more brawls before I'm able to buy my first gladius pack.
