Season Summary (beaker007, shinoumonk)
Bam — straight into the new year, and already on day one we have a post. Let’s hope it’s a good post and year 🤣.
This season wrap-up conveniently lines up with HPUD, the season end, and some social media activity, so those will be today’s main topics.
Season 173 felt short — and honestly, every time I write one of these posts, it feels like the seasons are going faster and faster. I already shared my thoughts on what I liked about 2025 and my goals for 2026 in a previous post, so I won’t repeat that here. What I will say again is that I’m genuinely looking forward to what Splinterlands has to offer this year.
HPUD – Hive Power Up Day
This post is also combined with HPUD (Hive Power Up Day). For those unfamiliar: HPUD happens on the first day of every month and encourages powering up HIVE consistently.
I started this challenge back in February last year, and my goal is to complete the full year this time around. So yes — power-up done for this month ✅.
Gameplay & Accounts Breakdown
From a gameplay perspective, Season 173 was quite active across multiple accounts:
- 3 accounts played manually in Frontier
- Alt account played in Modern
- Main account ran mostly botted in Wild, alongside manual Brawl play
For the upcoming season, I want to run a small experiment with my alt account. This season, it earned ~48K Glint through manual play. I want to see if a bot can beat that result.
So the real question becomes:
- Is it worth my time to play manually?
- Or should I just pay the 2,000 DEC, let the bot run, and compare results?
Land & Tools Updates
Last season I also had a short holiday (about two weeks), which gave me some nice coding between the festivities. During that time, I made a few updates to my land setups and also worked further on my statistics tool, which generates the data shown below.
All in all, it’s been a busy but productive two weeks in Splinterlands ❤️.
