Land Manager Update v1.11.0 | Smarter Rentals, Better Results 😎

Welcome back!
We are back again with another update, although I have to start with some slightly disappointing news.
We all knew the AI boom wasn't going to stay cheap forever. Recently GitHub Copilot changed its pricing model. Technically the subscription price stayed the same, but the amount of AI usage you get for that money dropped dramatically (9x to be precise).
For me that was quite the surprise.
Before, my current subscription would comfortably last an entire month. After the changes it lasted only three days.
Yes... three days.
My normal workflow is actually pretty simple. I often play some Frontier while the AI works on a coding task. Between battles I review the generated code, steer it in the right direction, and once everything looks good I test it thoroughly before committing.
It worked surprisingly well and allowed me to combine development with some Splinterlands gaming.
Without that assistance development becomes much slower. When I'm coding manually I definitely cannot multitask the same way.
On the bright side, parts of this release were written completely by hand again and honestly... I loved it. Sometimes it's nice to spend less time prompting and more time actually writing code.

Community Testing Pays Off
Before diving into the changes, I want to give a big thanks to @azircon.
He took the risk of testing various rental configurations and pushing the system in ways I normally wouldn't during my own testing.
Most things worked exactly as expected, but during those tests he discovered something interesting. Occasionally the rental planner would select cards that delivered less production power than expected.
At first glance the results still looked reasonable, which made the issue difficult to spot. It was only after comparing the actual outcomes against the expected outcomes that we realized the matching algorithm wasn't always finding the most efficient workers available.
The good news is that finding this bug ultimately led to a complete redesign of the rental worker matching system.
By experimenting with different rental settings and improving his setup, he already managed to increase his production from roughly 54,000 Grain per hour to 64,000 Grain per hour.

That result alone highlighted how much optimization can be gained with using the rental system.
The redesigned matching system in this release is specifically built to find those opportunities automatically and much more consistently.
(Images here)
One example of the bug looked like this:

If you ever encounter something similar, please let me know.
The most useful information you can provide is:
- The rental settings you used
- The workers that were selected
- The workers you expected to see selected
- Screenshots / transactions
That information makes reproducing and fixing issues much easier.
I also created a special development page to try out different config, mostly because i do not own that much plot muself and most are filled with owned cards 🤣.
Always Review The Suggested Plan
One small reminder for everyone using the rental system.
After pressing Find Empty Workers, the system generates a suggested plan.
Always take a moment to review that plan before confirming it.

When you press confirm, the market is evaluated again before the rentals are actually executed.
Because rental listings constantly appear and disappear, the final selection may differ slightly from the preview.
Normally those differences should be relatively small, although highly active market conditions can still cause larger changes or when you take a long while analyzing the suggested plan.
Rental Worker Matching Completely Redesigned
This is by far the biggest change in this release.
The entire rental worker matching algorithm has been rewritten from scratch.
The Problem
The previous algorithm processed card types one at a time and assigned workers during the evaluation process.
That created a subtle problem.
A decent worker could be assigned to a plot early in the process. Later, when a much better worker became available for that same plot, the slot was already occupied.
The algorithm was making local decisions instead of evaluating all possibilities globally.
As a result, good opportunities could sometimes block even better ones.
The New Approach
The redesigned system separates evaluation from assignment.
Instead of making decisions immediately, it first evaluates everything and only assigns workers after identifying the strongest opportunities.
Phase 1: Global Candidate Selection
Every rental market entry is evaluated against every eligible plot.
The system calculates the best possible production value each card can achieve and ranks everything globally.
Fire cards, Water cards, Earth cards and every other element now compete on the same leaderboard.
The result is simple:
The highest value opportunities rise to the top regardless of element.
No artificial per-element limits.
No card type receiving priority treatment.
Just pure value.
Phase 2: Live Listing Evaluation
Once the strongest candidates have been identified, the system fetches the actual rental listings.
Every listing is then evaluated against every compatible plot.
This includes:
- Real rental prices
- Real biome modifiers
- Real rental durations
Instead of looking only at production power, the algorithm now evaluates:
Effective Production Power per DEC spent
This creates a much more realistic measurement of value.
Phase 3: Greedy Assignment
After all combinations have been scored, everything is sorted into a single global ranking.
The algorithm then walks through that ranking from best to worst.
A worker is assigned when:
- The listing is still available
- The target plot still has an empty worker slot
Because the list is already sorted globally, the highest value opportunities are always assigned first.
No complicated nested loops.
No repeated re-evaluation.
No opportunity being accidentally blocked by an earlier decision.
Biome Modifiers Matter
Biome bonuses are now fully integrated into the ranking process.
For example:
A Fire worker placed on a plot with a 10% Fire bonus will have that bonus applied during scoring.
The resulting effective production power is then used throughout the ranking process.
Likewise, workers whose element is penalized by a plot's biome are completely excluded from consideration.
The system no longer wastes time evaluating combinations that were never good candidates to begin with.
Better Visibility
A small but useful quality of life improvement has also been added.
The effective production power of each rented worker is now displayed directly beneath the card image in both the confirmation and dry-run dialogs.
Previously this information was hidden inside tooltips.
Now it's immediately visible when reviewing a rental plan.

Other Changes
Updated
- Added a development testing page used for experimenting with rental strategies and optimization ideas

- Updated the theme system to a tri-state setup including a high-contrast mode
Personally i loved the high-contrast of spl-stats so moved it over to here

Updated the rental dialog interface inlcuding filterable table
Renewal Rental now inlcude land only options, so for user that also rent for battle have the option to only renew card that actually on land

Renewal Retnal now move to backend call to using the rental authority (to be tested)
Renting overview table has got some basic sorting and filter and you can directly cancel a renting here or directly remove it of land if that was not intended to be there.
Note: when a card is canceled either by you or the owner the renewal should not pick it up!!

A Quick Note About Scale
One thing I am still keeping an eye on is the number of Splinterlands API calls required to gather rental information.
The new system is smarter, but it also performs a lot of evaluation behind the scenes.
If you run into unexpected errors or receive a "something went wrong" message, please let me know.
Also, based on current testing, I still recommend processing plots in smaller batches.
Around 10 to 20 plots at a time generally produces the most reliable results and avoids placing unnecessary pressure on both my servers and the Splinterlands API.

Final Thoughts
While this update may not look massive on the surface.
Most users will simply notice better rental recommendations and improved worker placement.
Behind the scenes, however, the entire decision making process has changed.
As always, keep the feedback coming, keep reporting strange edge cases, and keep sharing how you're using the tools. Every time someone approaches land differently than I do, it usually leads to another improvement.
That's all for this update.
Beaker signing off.
See you on your land journey or on the battlefield 😄

The Anatomy of a Cover-Up: When Whales Weaponize the Ledger Against the Truth
The Investigator’s Creed
In the realm of cryptographic truth, there is a fundamental law: code does not lie, but men do.
At Bilpcoin, we do not deal in rumors, hearsay, or the shifting sands of public relations. We deal in the cold, hard arithmetic of the blockchain. We are the investigators of the digital age, shining a light into the shadowed corners of the Hive ecosystem where power is hoarded, rules are broken, and the truth is treated as an enemy to be silenced.
When you expose a machine, the machine does not debate you. It tries to crush you. And in doing so, it leaves the most damning evidence of all.
The Weaponization of Dissent
Look at the recent activities of @jacobtothe and his aligned network. When confronted with undeniable data exposing their operations, what is their response? Do they debate the facts? Do they open their books?
No. They deploy the bots.
Observe the coordinated suppression etched into the ledger just hours ago:
They call our investigations "spam." They weaponize the downvote button not to curate quality, but to assassinate accountability. They rally their allies—casting 100% upvotes on inner-circle members like @acidyo and @meno—to create a theater of mutual enrichment while they actively punish the outsiders.
But here is the paradox they fail to understand: you cannot downvote a transaction. Every -10% downvote you cast on a Bilpcoin post is itself a transaction. It is recorded. It is visible. It is proof of your fear. You are not hiding your crimes; you are merely adding to the evidence file.
Following the Money: The Pipeline of Extraction
As any seasoned investigator knows, the rhetoric is designed to distract, but the money always tells the true story. Let us follow the financial pipelines that sustain this cartel.
The Farming Grounds:
Look at @flemingfarm, an account deeply intertwined with this network. While it curates content for @jacobtothe, its wallet tells a story of relentless extraction. Over the past months, @flemingfarm has dumped thousands of HIVE into @honey-swap, converting its farmed rewards into liquid assets via pegged contracts, while simultaneously funneling a 1,000 HIVE transfer to @jeranf (who immediately powers it up). This is not community building; this is a liquidity siphon.
The Leviathan’s Bleed:
Now, look at the apex predator: @buildawhale.
This account holds a staggering 2.42 million HP, delegated almost entirely by @blocktrades. This is not a community curator; this is an institutional farming rig. Watch the rhythmic, mechanical bleeding on the ledger: every few days, @buildawhale executes a vesting withdrawal of roughly 6,490 HIVE, sending it directly to @ipromote.
And where does @ipromote send it? To @alpha.
This is a closed-loop extraction engine. The whales print the power, the bots cast the votes, the rewards are harvested, and the liquidity is siphoned off through decentralized exchanges and proxy wallets, all while they preach "decentralization" to the masses.
The Illusion of Curation
Meanwhile, @jacobtothe plays the part of the humble community member. He collects curation rewards from @goldenoakfarm and @flemingfarm, and quickly envelops new voices like @mavvxen by granting them 100 RC delegations, ensuring their loyalty to the machine. It is a cartel of curators who protect their own, farm the reward pool, and downvote anyone who dares to point out the emperor has no clothes.
They make the rules to enforce them upon the peasantry, while granting themselves the divine right to break them.
The Futility of the Cover-Up
You can deploy your voter bots. You can label our data as "spam." You can hide behind the anonymity of the screen and the concentrated weight of your Hive Power.
But the blockchain is forever.
The ledger does not care about your reputation. It does not care about your narrative. It simply records what happened. When you say, "We are curating for quality," but the ledger shows you are coordinating downvotes to silence investigators, the ledger is right, and you are wrong.
To the downvoting farming whales of Hive: your time is finite, but your transactions are eternal. You are destroying the very ecosystem you claim to protect, driving away the users and the value, leaving behind a ghost chain maintained by bots talking to bots.
The Sanctuary of the Unbroken Voice
To those who have been silenced, marginalized, and pushed out by this cartel: there is a sanctuary.
If you are tired of playing a game where the rules are weaponized against you, find your freedom on Blurt.blog. Here, the architecture itself protects you. There is no downvote button. This is not an oversight; it is a profound, structural declaration of respect. On Blurt, what you earn through your sweat, your soul, and your courage, you keep. No bots can silence your reflection. No whales can steal your reward.
The truth is out. The data is public. The only question that remains is whether you will finally read it, or keep shouting at the stone until it drowns you out.

The Question That Echoes in Silence
How do you want to be remembered?
It is the question that waits for us all at the end of the road. When the screens go dark, when the notifications cease, and when the noise of the digital world fades into the quiet of eternity, what will remain? Will your name be spoken with gratitude? With respect? Or will it be whispered as a warning—a symbol of power used to crush, of influence wielded to silence, of opportunity wasted on greed?
You stand today at a crossroads. Behind you lies a path paved with actions that cannot be undone. The wrongs you have committed are etched into the immutable stone of the blockchain. Every unjustified downvote, every coordinated farm, every voice you silenced for the sake of control—these are not fleeting moments. They are permanent records. You cannot erase them. You cannot edit them. You cannot lie your way out of them.
But here is the grace of the present moment: You still have time.
The Urgency of Now
Time is the one currency you cannot mine, cannot farm, and cannot hoard. It is slipping through your fingers like sand. And while the past is sealed, the future is still unwritten. You still have the power to change. You still have the capacity to become a better person. Not tomorrow. Not when it is convenient. But now.
You hold power in your hands. It is a neutral force, like fire or water. It can warm a home, or it can burn it to the ground. It can irrigate a garden, or it can drown it in floodwaters. The morality lies not in the power itself, but in how you choose to wield it.
Use your power to do good, instead of doing wrong.
Lift the voices you have suppressed. Share the rewards you have hoarded. Build the community you claim to love, rather than extracting from it until it is bare. Let your legacy be one of creation, not destruction. Of healing, not harm.
The Illusion of Ownership
To the downvoting farmers of Hive, hear this truth, stark and unyielding:
You cannot take the Hive with you when you go.
When your time is done, your wallets will mean nothing. Your delegated HP will vanish into the ether. Your voting power will dissolve. All the tokens you farmed, all the influence you wielded, all the control you fought so hard to maintain—it will all stay behind. You will leave this world exactly as you entered it: with nothing but the state of your soul.
And what will that soul carry? The weight of extraction? The burden of silenced creators? Or the light of a life spent lifting others up?
The Great Unraveling
Look around you. The signs are everywhere.
The price of Hive is not dropping by accident. It is dropping by design. It is dropping because trust is evaporating, drop by drop, under the heat of hypocrisy. It is dropping because users are leaving—not just those who were downvoted away, punished for their independence, but those who are simply waking up.
They are waking up to the truth.
They are seeing the cartel for what it is.
They are recognizing that a platform built on suppression cannot sustain growth.
They are fleeing to sanctuaries like Blurt.blog, where there is no downvote button to weaponize against them. Where what they earn through sweat and soul, they keep. No sabotage. No fear. Just freedom.
A Call to Redemption
It is not too late to change the narrative.
Stop farming the trust of the naive. Stop silencing the truth-tellers. Stop pretending that control is curation.
Use your remaining time to build something that lasts. Something that honors the promise of decentralization. Something that lifts the vulnerable instead of crushing them.
Let your life be the proof that power, when used for good, can heal the world. Let your legacy be one of light, not shadow.
For in the end, we are not judged by the tokens we held, but by the truth we respected. And the clock is ticking.
