Rebellion silence before the storm....

Introduction

Its the end of the year most of the team is enjoying a well deserved break after releasing two major release without many big issues. Rebellion and land 1.5 are release. Now it is slowing down in the end of the year.
I'm slowly building my rebellion deck first on silver level then for gold this will cost me a lot of money and time.

My strategy is build up every unit level for level. so they are most complete the be placed in the conflict weagon.

Currently i own 81 cards with an total of 27980 CP:

Conflicts

In the previous airdrop system you needed to buy many packs stating from around 200 packs to be guaranteed to get some airdrop cards.

The new system for the airdrop you need to stake the cards to battle wagons.

Here my summary on what we know:

  • Battle wagon are used in the rebellion conflict, new airdrop method
  • You can buy unlimited number of wagons
  • Battle wagon will be priced in vouchers (50 vouchers).
  • Battle wagon can stake 100 packs, every pack is 150 CP for the conflict
  • Battle wagon can stake 5 rebellion units or summoners
  • Every month an new conflict is started
  • Staked cards for conflict are not able to rent/delegate or used on land
  • Staked cards for conflict can still be used to play battles
  • Staked packs for conflict cannot be listed on the market

Questions that i still have:

  • What will happen with the wagons after rebellion?
  • Unclear how much CP you need to be certain of some airdrop

so with my 81 units (and 2 promo units) i will need 17 conflict wagons that will cost me 850 vouchers currently (~30$). So 30$ and not sure if you will gain any promo cards. Is it worth the gamble???

Battle example

I have not played many battles and the battle played where on diamond level. My rebellion cards are way off at this moment.. As mentioned above slowly gaining some units on a silver level before i can use them on diamond level will take a long time.

Strategy

High mana cap battle with only ranged units. These will all hit, remember speed is still important to strike first.
Another restrictive ruleset with on even mana cost units.

Rulesets

Aim True:
All ranged units will hit in this battle no miss calculations.

Going the Distance:
Only range unit may be selected. Not that also ranged unit with a secondary attack is possible.

Even Stevens:
Only unit with even mana cost can be selected.

Obvious choice IMO -1 range with only range units is a no brainer

Drybone Raider (lvl 2 GF)
With this unit in the front it can still attack because the melee attack


Zyvax Vuul (lvl 3)
Unfortunately it has recharge so it only strike every other turn. It made the selection because it has close range and can attack when it gets in the front.


Berix Snakeye (lvl 2)
Strong range unit low speed but it will hit with the aim true rule set.


Anachron Bolter (lvl 3)
Here is the rebellion cards that shine with this ruleset. It also has magic damage. I only got it on level 3 but even then an obvious choice IMO. And perfect for this battle while it has also headwinds so another -1 ranged attack for my opponent.


Venari Crystalsmith (lvl 6)
Healer important to heal the front


Supply Runner (lvl 8)
3 damage and with the extra speed i hope to strike first.

Rounds


Start :

A similar setup where the placing of the unit are slightly different. still my rebellion card might be all the difference we need.

I do not like the blast damage of Prismologist.


Round 1:

First round looking good. Still my Drybone Raider is hit heavily.
But the extra magic damage and reduced ranged damage by Anachron Bolter is very important.


Round 2:

I think i got enough power to take down my opponent. But if my ranged unit get in the front before my opponent the battle can turn quickly


Round 3:

This is why i hate/dislike recharge units. This round it do nothing and in the next round it will be killed before it can attack because of the low speed.


Round 4:

That double strike is hurting a lot. hope my healer can heal enough.


Round 5:

This is not looking good. That Drybone Raider need to die quickly else i lose this battle.
Next round will be important can my Anachron Bolter survive?


Round 6:

Close round. now the match is over my opponent does 2 damage why my healer heal 2 damage. so no more worries.
This headwind of the Anachron Bolter was/is the most important ability of this match.


Round 7:

Slowly chipping away my enemies health

Last round where almost the same do 4 damage heal 2 and my opponent do 2 damage and heal 2.


Conclusion

Again a match where an rebellion unit played a key role. This is the reason why i still slowly accumulating the rebellion units.
I already need to think about what is next after rebellion when chaos legion will leave modern and then there is the mini set that will come in a few months i need some luck or SPS needs to moon quickly to i can afford all these updates.
