Rebellion summoners with tactics....

Introduction

This week we will have a look at the new summoners with tactics. Beside the new unit summoners and abilities i think this is the game changer of this edition.
I really hope it will be harder for the bots. Even though modern should be free of bots i just think we have not detected them yet. IMO how more we fight them how harder it gets to detect bots, unfortunately just a cat an mouse game.
One thing that will help is interaction with in the match. Also note when the game gets to complex the bots will probably have an advantage because they can calculate statistics much faster then the human brain.

Long story short i think this will help the game brings another layers to the game that would be fun with new strategies.

Lets see which summoners will receive the new tactics and see if we can identify some trends/strategies.

Nomos

Nomos graduated top of his class from the War Seminary, the Ferexian Empire’s prestigious military academy in the Burning Lands. They said he was destined for greatness.

Now, he serves at the whim of the Chaos Empire, clearing forests in the Broken Lands and carrying out other menial tasks.

First with start with a summoner that can give two units -2 magic damage or two units the dispel ability.

Some are debating that dispel is great, like bulldog. I hardly use it. When you give this to a unit you need to make sure it has enough speed so it is used before you opponent can attack. When you have multiple units with dispel you also should look in how to divide the dispel over multiple units. This can done via

The -2 two magic can be huge.
You can give your own unit -2 damage when you have an 5+ magic unit that faces an unit.
Also -2 two magic of your opponent in combination with can make some units of your opponent useless for instance:
against will do now 0 damage. Many other magic units with 3 or less attack can be become units that will do no damage against you.

Prophet Rosa

No Lore????

With this summoner you can choose between give 2 units +2 range or 1 unit shield.

At the point of writing this post i still not sure about if you can grant one unit with +4 ranged attack. This would be a brutal unit then.

I would like to combine the +2 range with double strike.

With the shield i would like to try out this line up with the melee mayhem rule set. imagine -3 melee damage and another -1 from the summoner.

Underboss Fabino

In the streets of New Gobson, the name Fabino commands both respect and fear. Brother of the Gobson Family’s boss, Giovanni Gobson, Fabino ensures every racket runs smoothly, every coin is accounted for, and every insult and act of disrespect is repaid to the hilt.

Perhaps the only thing fiercer than his loyalty to his brother is his contempt for the Chaos Empire and its Gobalano lickspittles—the Gobalano because of their willingness to kiss the empire’s ring and meddle in the Gobson Family’s affairs, and the empire because any who make the Gobson kiss a ring will be repaid… to the hilt.

With this summoner you can choose between give 2 units +2 melee damage or 1 unit poison. Note that this is not the poison ability but you directly poison one unit.

I play in gold and there is one unit that kills me so often, i hate that card so much.... Main reason i do not own one 🤣🤣. already 281 battle lost. If i could poison this unit at the start of the match it would only be there 2 or 3 round lol. normally you cannot hit it because of the camouflage.

A other strategy can be to poison you own unit like:

The +2 can also be very nice on unit like:

Note to be aware when you cross the +5 melee damage when you encounter an forcefield reduces this to only 1 damage.

Avina of the Wolf

image.png

The Kingdom of Khymia has been subsumed by the Chaos Empire. New Dawn serves as the capital of its Ongonaur Kalamenty. But while the Order of the Silver Shield may have lost the war, they haven’t lost their fight.

As part of the Silver Shield’s insurgency in New Dawn, Knight Sergeant Avina Galalaine has devoted herself to ending the Chaos Empire, no matter the cost. Her brutal hit-and-run tactics are infamous among her enemies, who have taken to calling her “the Wolf,” and she wears this moniker like a badge of pride.

While Commander Gregory Goff, leader of the Silver Shield in New Dawn, may question her methods, Avina of the Wolf has earned his trust and respect. And when the dawn comes to break the chains of tyranny, there is no one he would rather have at his side.

With this summoner you can choose between give 2 units +2 speed or 1 unit self heal.

In general speed is so important imagine if you can give some unit +2 or ever +4 speed. Not sure if you can give both tactics on one unit or it have to be two different units.
5 speed for
or even 7 speed on these become hard to hit.
This tactics becomes useless with the reverse speed rule set.

Heal is also a very important play style one of my favorite is often have one or more healer in my battle line-up imagine these unit in the front with heal.

Combine the Pelacor Conjurer also with weapon training unit next to her and she can attack 😍

Reklah

image.png

Reklah Kayen was once an overlord in the Belurocian military. He commanded his army in countless campaigns during the time of the great wars, expanding the lands and riches of the Belurocian Empire. When the Silver Shield marched on the capital of Beluroc, Reklah rode at the head of his army to meet them. It was his actions on the field of battle that saved the city, and after his underlords carried his bloodied corpse through the city gates, grand celebrations were held in his honor, and the Lord of Darkness himself toasted Reklah’s name.

It is no wonder the necromancers of the Dark Eternals made his raising a priority.

Now, Reklah Kayen serves the collective as a death knight, using his martial prowess and command of the death element to bring the Splinterlands ever closer to the Dark Eternity. It is said he is first in line should a director position become available—although such openings are rare among the undying undead.

For now, he is content to simply fulfill his oath to the Dark Eternity. He submits to the Chaos Empire’s puppets, Barashkukor and Incalae, only grudgingly, for he knows they seek not an end to suffering, but only power and personal gain. His true loyalties lie with the word of the Dark Codex and to the exiled Demise Archon Faust.

With this summoner you can choose between give 2 units -2 health health or 2 units the ability reflection shield.

The -2 health is not my favorite. Might be when i try it out it changes. Still it has some nice synergies. First i assume it can not reduce the health to 0 but i might be funny with the noxious fumes. reduce some 4 health unit down to 2 health and after the first round it is killed.
A other strategy might be to reduce you own unit like to trigger the martyr quicker.

Closing notes

This will change the game for sure hope for the best. I got one major concern i expect that these summoners will be expensive in the beginning and maybe always.

All +2 are impactful especially when there is a low mana cap battle, where the summoner still only cost 5 mana is very achievable.

That's all for this week hope you enjoyed reading this. See you all on the battlefield.
