Season Wrap Up Survival Surprise SPS Mistake and a Strong Community Response

Another EOS down in the books and this one was actually pretty interesting.
Survival really surprised me this season. I did not expect it to be that this rewarding. Lucky me because it ended up paying out around 8K SPS which is honestly mind blowing.
And then things got a bit crazy.
Splinterlands made a mistake and the payout was sent out twice. So instead of 8K SPS I suddenly had about 15K SPS sitting there. For a short moment that felt amazing of course. I honestly thought it would be refunded automatically but that did not happen.
The team asked everyone on a voluntary basis to return the extra SPS that was paid out by accident. I am not in the business of hurting the company. They need that SPS for upcoming survival payouts and for testing new things like the survival bracket. Mistakes will be made when building and experimenting. So I refunded the extra SPS that was sent to me. I really hope most players will do the same so we can get close to returning the 850K SPS that was handed out incidentally. And seeing many of the community is already doing this. THIS IS WHY THIS COMMUNITY IS SO GREAT!!!!
Still, 8K SPS for one season is amazing. That is a serious reward.
Because of the double payout situation this is actually the first time I had to unstake some of my SPS to replenish my liquid balance after sending the extra back. A bit painful but it is what it is.
Meanwhile the other modes just keep running. Wild is handled by the bot and it is doing a fine job as usual. Frontier is still going strong and I maxed another legendary on my third account which was a very important one. Big progress there.
On the tooling side I expanded my tool to support Escalation and just this morning I also added the survival payout to the blog overview. Something weird is going on with image scaling on Hive though. Some images generate perfectly fine and others look completely off. I have a support ticket running on PeakD so let’s see if it is on my end or something platform related.
And to top it off this EOS lines up with HPUD so I powered up another 10 Hive to keep the streak alive. Slow and steady stacking those badges.
