First post of this year will be about splinterlands in general and how you can start your journey in splinterlands.
I also reveal my investment and how much i earn every season.

What is splinterlands

Splinterlands is an online collectible/trading card game (TGC) using HIVE blockchain technology.
Many items in the game are non-fungible token (NFT). These NFT are yours and you are able to buy/earn/sell and trade them.

If you’ve ever played collectible trading card games like Magic: The Gathering/Pokemon or Heartstone, you’ll find a similar experience with Splinterlands, but through a web3 blockchain technology.

One of the main reason i like splinterlands this much is, that you can buy/earn assets and when you want to move to an other game you are able to sell your assets. This is IMO revolutionary, normal games you invest and gain entrainment here you pay get entertainment and possible return on investment along the way.

As always every investment comes with risks just like this there is a risk in losing value on money spent in the game.

Splinterlands operates on the HIVE blockchain. At first a bit daunting when you are not used to crypto but after a little while you will get comfortable with it. I really like the HIVE chain because of low fees. When ever i need todo something on the ETH chain it scares me with the high gas fees.

Splinterland has created a easy low level way to enter the crypto world. Then you can explore and deepen your knowledge at your own pace.

For the basic of the game the official splinterlands give a nice run down of the summoners unit/monsters and their abilities.
When have read the following page you got an good understanding of the game cards and battle layout.

Then the fun can start at Novice level and you can move your way into the higher leagues.

In every league you will find harder opponents with better quality decks. That is where you need to decide; do i want to rent or buy cards to upgrade your deck.

It can be daunting to buy cards, IMO it's the best option, it's an one time cost instead of constant updating en re-renting cards. But many differ in this opinion, some players rent all the way up to diamond/champion level.
The hardest part is to choose which cards to rent and buy for every league you will need different level of summoners and unit.

Basic rule of thumbs is first level up a few summoner to play on the desired league then upgrade unit accordantly.

Strategy/tips for Beginners

Now you have already read the top-10 tips of splinterlands here are some of my tips.

Start your journey in Modern league. The Wild league will contain also all older editions and often more experienced players. Currently modern is bot free and you earn more SPS while battling.

ENJOY!! its a game, no need to get frustrated when you have a losing streak and when you do, go do something else for a while😁.

Watch the battles learn why you win and why you lose a battle it is not only because you opponent has higher level cards.

I find the community really great, yeah in the bear market there is s lot of trash talking also in some channels of the Splinterlands discord. Still many persons in discord are willing to help you out and explain stuff. What can you earn

My investment and asset value.

What is really nice about Splinterlands that your assets are NFT's so they are yours. You are also able to use them elsewhere. Splinterlands encourages players to create other ways to use the Splinterlands assets. Even start your own game or business.
