How much rent should you pay for production cards?

Prologue

I built a new calculator. Because good old @spltrader built in a new feature by my request into their Splinterland Marketplace.

PP per DEC! That is really useful for all Land-owners who have not enough workers, so they want to rent from others. Works like a charm:

Click on it, with the arrow pointing down, and the first card will be the one that gives you most PP per DEC on Rent. BUT you have to sort them still by PP/DEC within the card menu that pops up, until the arrow points down again.

Then you can see that the Barking Spider, rented out by Sinistry for only 1 DEC/Day, gives you 1500 PP per DEC! Meaning it gives you 1500 PP, as it's 1 DEC/Day. Mind that PP gives your resources per hour!

How much can I pay to break even?

That's what I asked myself. Of course, Excel has the answer after pushing it a little.

Beautiful, isn't it? Includes the bonuses I want to apply (or not). In this example, the card fits perfectly on my rare Wood-Plot, getting it terrain and plot bonus of 10%. I also have a land-card-synergy working, which leads to another 10% and 20% less grain cost. In that plot configuration, here's the minimum PP I need to make profit of the rented card:

For my wood plot, it's 543. So that Barking Spider would fit perfectly!

And without any bonus?

Well, that's easy enough! Here you go for a common plot with all neutral cards:

Iron would be difficult to find a good rental for in this constellation...

What if I want to buy?

I got you covered. Here's the best prices for 1000 PP - includes the necessary stake of DEC! Because without that, Chaos Legion cards seem a lot cheaper than Beta cards, which they aren't when including the Dark Energy/DEC stake.

Beta cards are still kings. No terrain or such applied here, just the card that pops up top when selecting their bracket. But generally, the battle for the best deal is between Beta and Untamed. That also translates to the CPC (Card-Production-Coefficient) per cost:

You want what's closest to the 0/0 point here. Beta Rare RF takes the price in this constellation.

Conclusion

There are some great rentals on the market! I snatched up two for my plots, one for an Iron-Plot, the other for a Wood:

Can't quite remember the PP/DEC, but it was above 1500. Now I just have to figure out how to automatically renew rentals - is that a thing yet?

As conclusion, the rental market offers opportunity to keep your land rolling. So I can easily buy some more plots now, and focus on getting more Land-Cards with their respective Bloodline-Synergy, and then fill the other 3 spots with rentals.

It's also a great start for newer players. Yes, you have to pay some DEC up front - but if doing it right, you can get into profit mode quite quickly, and then just use that extra DEC to buy your own cards, little by little.
