My role in the Pre-Sale

Conclave Arcane pre-sale has started! And with DEC at around peg, I decided to throw in some hard earned money. I live in Ecuador, and make my living here, and even though I'm quite well situated, buying $1,200 worth of packs is a lot. As always - it's money I don't need otherwise, and I have saved up for this. Fun fact: II would need to spend another 800$ in order to get into the Top 100. No way, but it's okay. I wanted my 3 copies of Gramel, and I got those, and that includes a Silver-League-Copy of the Skinwalker. I usually play Gold, but I hope that having them on Silver will be enough.

It's impressive to see how much people are spending, especially the whales, but you'd expect that. There's a lot of what's middle class in Splinterlands, who are also buying a lot. The prices are worth it, in my opinion, even though I might not get anything but a title - and maybe not even that, depending on how many others are going to step on the playing field.

My pack strategy

I bought the majority of my packs as standard packs, but also a few Legendary, as I'm sure that those will become handy in the conflicts. The more I think about it, the more sense it makes to buy legendary, and then complete with the starter packs as soon as the regular sale starts. But as many have calculated, standard packs are the best way to go. We'll see!

I'm probably going to buy a few more Legendary packs, depending on how much HIVE I can scrape together with my posts, and the price development of DEC. Plus the gains from the trading pool and trading account. Maybe I can make it to another copy of the Skinwalker, or even a fourth Gramel to make some rental money on. Or to sell and buy more packs.

My gaming strategy

I'll probably drop out of modern. My strength is Chaos League, I love that set, and will probably want to keep playing it. So Wild it is. On the other hand, I bought quite a bit of Conclave Arcane, as mentioned, and hope to be able to create a competitive set over time, that is enough for playing Gold League.

The bad thing is that I don't even have a Silver-Set of Rebellion Core/Promo. I only bought some very specific cards (Rage, Tofu, Daarg, Sevaya, Akane), which are incredibly helpful, but might not be enough. I need more summoners - hopefully my CA packs will account for that. I think I saw a few rare summoners for the CA set, so maybe the starter packs will be enough for that.

The good thing is that I have the Reward-Set almost maxed out, except for Legendaries which I didn't purchase. I might just go for those Legendaries as well, and get the full set in order to enhance my possibilities in Modern with CL being out.

I like playing modern, there's a lot of SPS made there - but I really am a Chaos gamer. I just had a great battle that made it into the "Top Battles". I don't know what that means but here's the link: Click here!
