Guardians of Glory Brawl Report & Recruitment

1. Introduction: A Tougher Battlefield, A Stronger Mindset

Some battles shape us—not just by winning or losing, but by the lessons we learn along the way. Competing against the best players in Splinterlands is a real challenge. Every move matters, every mistake is costly, and every match feels like stepping into an arena where only the strongest can survive.

Not long ago, I was winning 80% of my battles. My strategies worked smoothly, and many fights felt easy, almost automatic. It was like I had figured out the perfect way to play. But now? Things have changed. Fifty percent. That’s my new reality. The competition is much tougher, and my opponents are smarter and more skilled. Every brawl requires my full attention. I stop everything, clear my mind, and get ready to fight.

To focus, I always listen to the amazing soundtrack of Interstellar. As a big fan of science fiction, this film means a lot to me, and its music helps me concentrate. Hans Zimmer’s score is powerful—the deep sound of No Time for Caution, the emotions in Cornfield Chase, and the epic rise of Mountains. Every note reminds me that time is running out, and I have to make every second count.

"We used to look up at the sky and wonder about our place in the stars. Now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt."

This quote from Interstellar describes exactly how I feel. I was once at the top, winning easily. Now, I am back on the ground, fighting hard for every victory, improving, learning, getting better. And you know what? This is what makes the game exciting. This is what brawls are all about.

This is the Guardians of Glory, and this is where true warriors are made.

Let’s step into the battlefield. 🚀🔥

2. Guild Performance: Steady Progress, Room for Improvement

Brawls are not just about individual battles—they are about teamwork. This time, Guardians of Glory finished in second place. It is a good result, but we know we can do even better. We will keep working hard to reach the top.

The rewards were definitely worth it. Each of us received 252 SPS and 11,000 merits, which means we got four Brawl Packs per battle! 💰🔥 In Splinterlands, every card and resource matters. They help us build stronger teams and improve our strategies for the next battles.

As for my personal performance, I ended with a 5W - 4L record in max-level modern Rebellion format (RF) tier. It was a tough challenge, and some matches were really close. But every battle is a chance to learn and improve.

Now, let’s take a closer look at two battles where I lost. I will break down my mistakes and find ways to turn them into lessons for the future. 🎮⚔️

🎯 Tactical Analysis: Learning from Defeat

⚔️ Battle #1 – A Masterclass in Strategy

🔹 Mana: 56 🔹 Active Rulesets:

  • 🗡️ Super Sneak – All melee attacks target the last enemy.
  • 🎲 Even Stevens – Only even-cost monsters allowed.
  • 🚫 Silenced Summoners – Summoner abilities disabled.

This fight against akomoajong from the Guild of Neoxian was an absolute masterclass. These are the battles that truly push me to improve—not just because I lost, but because I saw a genius strategy using cards that I also own.

💡 The Winning Combo:
🔥 Chaos DragonBlind debuff, reducing my team’s accuracy.
👀 Anasth SothsayerLookout ability, providing extra protection vs all melee with sneak granted by ruleset!
🛡️ Commander Slade – Positioned at the back, taking full advantage of Super Sneak, and Chaos Dragon's Blind & Anasth's Lookout.

This is why I love Splinterlands—because you either win or learn, but you never truly lose. See the Battle

🎯 Tactical Analysis: Learning from Defeat

⚔️ Battle #2 – The Speed Factor

🔹 Mana: 60
🔹 Rulesets:

  • 💥 Explosive Weaponry – All attacks deal Blast damage.
  • 🎯 Ranged Only – Only Ranged attackers are allowed.

This fight against roguepatton from Iron Faith was a clear reminder of a crucial lessonnever forget the basics when analyzing rulesets.

💡 Key Tactical Mistake:
In Blast damage battles, speed is everything. The faster you strike, the sooner you eliminate threats before they can hit back.

🚀 My Team: Only one super-fast unit → Runic Skyclaw.
Opponent’s Team: Runic Skyclaw + Lira the Dark + Tatiana BlaydeMore speed = More hits, fewer misses, and faster takedowns.

🔍 Lesson Learned:
Speed wins in explosive battles. A well-timed attack can neutralize threats before they even get a chance to strike. Here's the battle

Tier five brawls are like that :) I am in YGG Legion and it is really good when I get 5-4. My alt is in THGaming Brawlers tier 3 and we get 1st place almost every brawl with 9-0 in Diamond tier being almost a normal thing :)
