THGaming brawl report + In-depth Cutter Brieze

One of my best Twitter accounts is Splinterlands. It keeps me informed about all the important news in the ecosystem and #Hive posting events like a media challenge. In my opinion, those challenges are an incredible way of increasing the pride of being part of this community, as every player shares his/her game experience with others, allowing others to learn about everyone's successes and mistakes. For this one, I bring the last brawl report from my guild, THGaming Brawlers (this time we had a tough one with not our best mark) and I also share the result of our other 2 most competitive guilds, THgaming 1 and 2 who faced each other in a tied one. I will also bring an in-depth analysis of the cheapest ranged carry in the game: Cutter Brieze and finally I will share my tactical board in a brawl battle with a great Martyr use! Hope you like it!

THGaming brawl reports

Things are going fast related to the guilds and brawls' importance in the game. Those cards that would never hit ranked, first could be brought to the arena by specific soul bounded summoners and then appeared in a specific ruleset that allows playing gladius. Here we are. A whole new combat dynamics opens to these factors. And to take profit from these factors, you must join guilds, play brawls, and open gladius cases. And all above this, you get rewarded by the governance token just for co-op with ur guild dudes. The answer my friends is blowing in the wind. Join guilds now! Related to the competition, this was not our best performance:

  • THGaming Brawlers (Tier 3) - 5th place The guild has won spoils of 56 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 2,800 Merits and 36.551 staked SPS.
  • THGAMING 1 (4th): The guild has won spoils of 9 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 485 Merits and 10.454 staked SPS.
  • THGAMING 2 (3rd): The guild has won spoils of 14 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 646 Merits and 13.59 staked SPS

If you would like to take Splinterlands seriously and wanna join a serious #Play2Earn project, we are your guild!

Guessing the cards that will dominate the game

I love taking a look at low-mana creatures. These can fill a certain position in high mana battles if you are running out of mana and need to cover them all (it's generally good advice), and can play low mana ruleset. In the second one, every mana point you play most efficiently than your opponent is a little step to victory. In this sense, we find our guest star of the post: Cutter Breeze:

Who gives more utility and damage for just one mana in the game? Related to 1 mana creature, Cutter has no rival in terms of Health, Speed, and... 3 Ranged damage. This creature can fit so great in low mana battles. His speed will allow him to attack the first and evade tons of attacks. And 3 damage, it's not a joke!

I have taken a look via @peak-monsters to similar creatures (1-mana ranged creatures). I've found two of them (Lensmaster and Two Gun Pete). Cutter Breeze fits another slot as these two fantastic creatures fit their role thanks to the utility than the damage (both have 1 damage max level vs 3 from Cutter). Both of them are Legendaries and worth 11$ in the market. And these cards don't have bloodlust while Cutter has!

Can't wait to play this kiddo with Fernheart in low-mana battles. His whole army will take profit from Breeze's shatter (fast speed will him allow to break the tank's armor first), and he will be given close-range fire thanks to the summoner with +1 extra speed. Not bad for low mana battles!
So we've seen Cutter Breeze is another interesting option for the Nature summoner, especially with Fernheart in low mana battles! For just one mana he is ready to crush the arena!

Show me the battles! - a master class in gold foil fray

New abilities have brought fresh air to combats as they have increased battle chances. For this one, I faced a 32-mana, Melee-Mayhem, and Snipping combat. While my opponent tried to cover all specific battle options with Rathe waiting for his Jared Scar to snowball, I bet everything to melee. The board looked as follows :

  • While my opponent chose Chaos Knight (love that card), I chose Disintegrator for the main tank. Disintegrator is great in such different battles and I use him much more than I expected before maxing him out. Retaliate works fantastic and interrupts some enemy plans. Also, the debuffing enemy is always a point to consider.
  • Reflecting Shield is worth 13$ max level. Such a cheap creature with that utility is ridiculous. Every time there's a ruleset that allows all melee to attack anywhere, I play him. Such a great survivability and Blind. Blind wins combat by himself.
  • Chaos Knight is the melee queen. She is one of the few creatures that can interrupt Jared Scar's snowballing in many battles. Her melee buff is a dream for Life Summoner.
  • I placed Marksrat between Chaos Knight and Jared Scar, martyr is fantastic for taunting Opportunity / Snippers and he did his job great. I Love Martyr's ability.
  • All my army helped position as much as they could until the Beast was unleashed. A couple of shots without a killing blow, but at the third... I share with you the entire battle Hope you like it!
