Returning to my first love: Splinterlands

I am in the airplane, ready to take off and I am browsing my communities feeds on mobile. And while I have joined quite a few big communities on the Hive blockchain, what I have observed in these bearish times is that Splinterlands is the most active one. And when I hear such music and I feel there is a party going on in Splinterlands I say to myself: you must go there! So here I am with a Splinterlands post in quite a while. And to tell you the truth, I am quite happy seeing this project alive and kicking even in crypto bearish times. I hope the party will never stop as this game and the community around it has brought us so much joy and an escape from every day's life problems. Escaping into such a wonderful fantasy realm is always positive and along with the fun getting out of it, I like also the crypto earnings angle. What can be better than having fun and earning? Not any or many things.

I am yet to rediscover Splinterlands and all the developments done to it since my last playing it, but I want in this post just to rant about getting back to it and the community around it. And all or most of us know that Splinterlands transcended the real of just a game into a real web3 crypto ecosystem. Having its foundation on the Hive blockchain distinguishes it from any other games and is what made us devoted players and supporters if it. The novelty of a different mindset when playing games and truly owning assets in it is still strong and will be a strong feature of it. Maybe this has helped with its longevity and still kicking ass in the blockchain space.

Nevertheless the team behind Splinterlands is amazing and without some bright brains from there, this project would long time ago have been vanished. I would actually have been proud to work in such a team based in my real life experiences a d the knowledge I have in software building domain. A development team close to its community which is also attentive to incoming feedback, is a great recipe for a long lasting project. And like I said, I hope this will not stop anytime soon.

Splinterlands is already part of Hive blockchain DNA and history. This game and community stood with it even when the hardfork happened, so it is hard to overlook the core values that they have. A great symbiosis push both worlds forward, even without crossing helping hands. Ans this is not necessarily a bad thing as o e growth pulls the other, without interfering within anyone governance path. The independence of projects even from the ecosystem they are running on ensure their own destiny while maybe affecting each other in a positive way. I hope to see both Hive and Splinterlands grow stronger and get market recognition as well. And until that happens, I will just keep at it! 😉

Come join Splinterlands and fight the good fight! https://splinterlands.com?ref=sm-goldies

I like the image, it's everything you said in the post in a picture format. Must've taken some creative keyword prompts to generate such a high quality output as this..
