Splinterforge - Boss battles are trembling the entire Splinterlands space

Splinterforge is a play2earn game on the Hive blockchain where you can make use of your Splinterlands NFTs and get new action with Boss battles. It is another use case for the assets held in Splinterlands, but it comes with additional NFTs and tokenomics. While in the beginning, I thought that is mandatory to buy packs and items in order to be able to challenge Boss monsters, it seems that you can do that only with the Splinterlands cards. As I have put a stop to my new investments, this was a great new piece of information that allowed me to give it a try. And to tell you the truth I wasn't disappointed in doing so.

The game has nice graphics with a fantasy theme and it is great they are coming up with different bosses and techniques in their design. This gives an unexpected element to it and makes you log in just to see how the new Boss monsters are looking. After you get in the game the Menu from the game header is pretty clear and forwarding. You can start a battle and challenge the Boss in a matter of seconds. Here are the steps that I have performed to get on the battlefield.

  1. From the Menu taskbar, click on the Battle icon.

  2. Select the Boss that you want to challenge. I will be fighting the Death Boss.

  3. Hit on the Battle button in order to move on to the next step.

  4. Choose your Hero from the Left Menu list: Warrior, Wizzard, or Ranged.

  5. Pick up 2 Summoners that you want to use in the battle (their order is not counted in any way).

  6. Pick up your warriors totaling 45 Mana and 7 Monsters.

  7. Hit the Battle button and enjoy the fight.

As you can see the game is pretty straight forward and with a few moves you get to battle Boss monsters. The idea of it all is that you inflict damage to the Bosses, you earn points, climb the Leaderboard and when the Boss is dead in the end the first 100 Players will earn FORGE tokens. These tokens can be either traded or Hive-Engine or used to buy Splinterforge packs that will add more skills, abilities, and wearing to your Hero. Great experience and fun to play!

Exactly my thought. But it's good one can start playing without the need to buy any new cards if he has already SL cards.

I got quite addicted to this game. It's great to be able to start with our existing SL cards and then when we want to step up a level we can purchase some crates and bags. Great post!

That’s cool, yet another thing for splinterlands! I’ll have to give this a try. I wonder if because all my cards are rented out, if I can play this or not.
