Splinterlands has become a complex metaverse of battling with different NFT cards sets, foils and elements. And now we see also the rules of combat expand and provide new battle excitement by allowing the use of Gladiators within daily clashes. We got used to throw Gladiators in the ring in Guild Wars as these can be obtained by buying Guild packs, so having the possibility to use them in regular battling is an exciting new entertainment that we can enjoy on a daily basis.

The Gladiator cards are one of the most sought-after cards in the Splinterlands game due to their unique abilities and attributes. These cards are known for their strength and versatility, which makes them valuable assets to have in any player's deck. Being Soulbound from the get-go and with a slow release to players by being able to be bought with Merits that can only be earned from Guild wars and not bought, the Gladiators are powerful, rare and bring significant advantages on the battlefield.

High Damage

Gladiator cards are known for their high damage output. They can deal massive amounts of damage to enemy monsters, making them an excellent choice for offensive strategies. Additionally, some Gladiator cards have the ability to deal damage to multiple targets at once or even strike twice, making them even more effective in battle.

High Health

Gladiator cards also have high health, which makes them difficult to defeat in battle. This means that they can take more hits from enemy monsters before being defeated, allowing them to remain on the battlefield for longer periods of time.

Unique Abilities

Many Gladiator cards have unique abilities compared to regular cards that make them even more valuable. Some Gladiator cards have the ability to heal themselves or their allies, while others have the ability to reduce the damage that they take from enemy attacks. These abilities can give players a significant advantage in battle, even if some regular cards were inspired by these skills and embedded them in the newest releases. An example in this regards can be the Bloodlust ability - "This monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats".

Rarity

Gladiator cards are some of the rarest and most valuable cards in the Splinterlands game. They are difficult to obtain as you can buy them only with earned Merits from Guilds wards, which makes them even more valuable to players who manage to acquire them. Additionally, Gladiator cards are hard to max out thus requiring long time to get to the highest power and be able to clear all the opponents monsters from the gable.

Considering all the above strengths of Gladiator cards, I think it is imperative for every player to join a Guild and participate into Brawls, earn Merits, buy Gladiator packs and send these forcefully warriors into battle. Their abilities incline the battle victory one way or the other, so it is hard for me a present where a player wouldn't use and need them on the battlefield.
