Splinterlands - Gladiators pack luck strikes again with a Legendary card
Sorry but I couldn't let this pass unnoticed in the realm of Splinterlands as it made my blood boil for a bit. While I had some Merits tokens available in my wallet, they were just enough to buy a Gladiators pack. I did just that and afterwards went on opening it and my surprise came through a Legendary Gladiator: Fina Voxom! What a blast, what a great warrior to add to my army and bring me an edge on the battlefield. And what's better than that? Well, thing is that I already had another Legendary card of such type and with this new draw it allowed me to power both up and get better stats. And that's what I did, so let me just give some teasing screenshots on that and showcase my process.

Powering up my latest Legendary Gladiator

By powering up my Legendary Gladiators - Fina Voxom, I updates the stats as following. Better stats and additional skills (Piercing) will sure help in the battles.
Before:
- 3X Melee attack
- 7X Life
- 4X Speed
- Bloodlust skill (+1 to all stats after dealing a killing blow)
- Opportunity skill (Targets the enemy unit with the least health)
After: - 3X Melee attack (+1)
- 7X Life
- 4X Speed
- Bloodlust skill
- Opportunity skill
- Piercing skill (Damage in excess of target's armor is applied to health)
I always considering that Gladiators are very valuable cards in Splinterlands and the gameplay rules are now more advantageous than never to use such gems. Whenever I can I through them into battles as I am sure they do better than regular cards as they are hard to find and you simply cannot buy them. The scarcity of such cards make them one of the most valuable asset in the game. If only the new Editions and packs would follow the same model but with the ability to trade them and cards would have been so much more valuable. But at least it is great to have the rarity on Gladiators and to be able to enjoy their stats and skills whenever possible.

While I have resumed playing Splinterlands for about two weeks now, drawing a Legendary card surely boosted my enthusiasm and increased the motivation to play more and more. What I liked coming back was to see that the game evolved while I was not around as much and that the ecosystem is still health. And if I am not wrong, I've header that the team is net positive with the costs and income, thus they can keep the lights on and the wheels rolling. And that's the most important thing for this game and it gives hope to find it in a good position for the next bull run. Blockchain games for sure faced hardships and so did Splinterlands, but to see this game continue and finding solutions to the given conditions simply builds trust about its future. And when there is trust and hope, the gamers will be around it. And that's the most important thing.
