Splinterlands - Perfecting your strategy by sneak peaking on Best Players
In Splinterlands you can learn through so many way, you just need to know where to look at. And I will tell you a secret - you can perfect your strategy by sneak peaking on Top Battles of your opponents or of the top players in the game. I bet not many of you knew that! But as I myself after so many years of playing Splinterlands, am still exploring this realm, discovering and learning new things, it shows how vast this ecosystem is and how much knowledge resides at every step. By keeping at your routine without discovering or pushing the button next to your common actions, you are simply limiting yourself. With that in mind, lets see what we can do in order to play this game better.

Battle Log
On the main "Ranked Play" view in the Splinterlands, the focus is on "Battle Log" which present the battles that we have fought and whether we won those battles or not. This is the first drop of wisdom that we can learn from by watching the games that we've lost for example and paying attention to our opponent, the cards that it used and the strategy adopted based on the game rules.
Top Battles
Next is the "Top Battles" section which I see it as a treasure trove of knowledge for any player aiming to improve their skills. By watching the most exciting and high-stakes matches, you can uncover advanced strategies, card combinations, and team combinations used by the best players in the Splinterlands realm. It's like peeking into the playbooks of masters, giving you insights into what works under different rule sets and how to counter some of the most popular tactics in the game.

Leaderboard
The Leaderboard section is more than just a ranking system view; it’s a showcase of players who consistently win and earn in the Splinterlands arena. By exploring the profiles and battle logs of top-ranked players, you can analyze their winning streaks, favored Splinters, and how they adapt to various challenges. It’s not just about emulating their choices, but understanding their thought process and refining your strategy to find what works best for you.
Last Season
Last but not least, the "Last Season" tab holds a goldmine of information, capturing the trends and meta of previous competitive cycles. You can observe which cards and strategies dominated the last season and start preparing counters for the current season. This historical data helps you spot patterns, adjust your deck, and anticipate what other players might bring to the battlefield.

I believe that getting better and perfecting yourself in Splinterlands isn’t just about playing more games, but rather about playing smarter. By analyzing your battle log, studying other's top battles, keeping an eye on the leaderboard and checking past seasons, you’re getting more insight into exceling. The thrill and joy of this game lies in its complexity and depth, offering endless opportunities to grow as a player. So I believe we shouldn't limit ourselves, but rather try to explore, learn, and let the knowledge of others from the Splinterlands community guide us to the top. It is all about taking the time to listen and watch how others have succeeded and trying to learn and do the same. At least's that's one approach that I am taking when having the time for it.

I was doing something similar when I had better cards, looking at what my opponent had and playing a similar strategy, but with higher-level cards. Works to some degree.
